Netflix is already setting the mood for Devil May Cry Season 2, and yes bro, the soundtrack is staying very much in that early-2000s action game zone.
Ahead of the new season’s debut this month, Netflix shared a look at some of the music fans can expect from the anime-style adaptation of Capcom’s demon-hunting series. According to Siliconera, 12 tracks have been confirmed for the Season 2 soundtrack, with the picks once again leaning into the kind of rock, nu-metal and synth-heavy energy that fits Dante ridiculously well.
For Malaysian and SEA fans, this is actually a pretty smart lane. Devil May Cry has always carried that “PS2 era in the cyber cafe / cousin’s house console setup” energy — stylish combos, gothic nonsense, loud guitars, and Dante being impossibly cool. So a soundtrack packed with names like Evanescence, Papa Roach, Korn, Gunship and Power Glove feels less like random nostalgia bait and more like Netflix understanding the assignment.

Evanescence returning is a nice touch, especially after the band contributed “Afterlife” for the first season. This time, fans are getting the band version of “My Immortal”, plus a Power Glove remix tied to Amy Lee’s “Meet Me in the Afterlife.” Very dramatic, very Dante standing in the rain vibes.
Power Glove also seems to be doing a lot of heavy lifting again, remixing tracks from Korn, Gunship and Papa Roach while also appearing on “Shall Never Surrender” with Gunship. Casey Edwards is in the mix too, which matters because Devil May Cry fans already know how hard the series can go when the music locks in with the action.
Why this matters for fans here
For SEA viewers who mainly know Devil May Cry through Devil May Cry 5, YouTube combo videos, or older PlayStation memories, the soundtrack is part of the identity. This series is not supposed to sound clean and safe. It needs that slightly edgy, leather-jacket, monster-slicing chaos.
The song choices also make the Netflix anime feel more connected to the era that made Devil May Cry iconic.
