Dragon Ball Fans Still Want These Saiyans To Unlock Super Saiyan 3

Super Saiyan 3 has always been one of Dragon Ball's most extra transformations — no eyebrows, massive hair, huge power spike, and enough attitude to make the whole room stop talking.

Ever since Goku revealed it during the Majin Buu saga, the form has had this special place in the fandom. It is not just another colour swap. It looks wild, drains energy like crazy, and feels like Dragon Ball going full maximum drama. Now that Vegeta has also finally reached Super Saiyan 3, the old question is back again: which Saiyan should get it next?

For Malaysian and SEA fans who grew up with Dragon Ball on TV, manga volumes, games, and endless kedai mamak arguments about power levels, this is exactly the kind of topic that can restart a whole group chat. Here are five Saiyans who would be insanely fun to see in Super Saiyan 3.

Vegito

Vegito is already one of Dragon Ball Z's biggest hype moments because he combines Goku's creativity with Vegeta's arrogance. During the Majin Buu arc, fans had just seen Goku show off Super Saiyan 3, so naturally everyone wondered whether Vegito could push into that form too.

It never happened. Vegito disappeared before the series could go there.

Now that Vegeta has his own version of Super Saiyan 3, the idea feels even more tempting. The form does not have to look identical on every Saiyan, so Vegito could get a design that mixes both Goku and Vegeta's features in a fresh way. If Dragon Ball ever gives him this upgrade, it would probably become one of the strongest and most stylish versions of Super Saiyan 3 in the franchise.

Future Trunks

Future Trunks has always carried that mysterious, lone-warrior energy. He was the second Super Saiyan introduced in the series, and over time he became one of the most respected Saiyans in Dragon Ball.

That is why Super Saiyan 3 Trunks feels overdue. His design would be the real question. Would the hair go full classic Super Saiyan 3? Would it stay closer to his sharper, cleaner look? Dragon Ball games have played with ideas like this before, but seeing it properly in the main anime or manga would hit differently.

For fans in Malaysia who love Trunks because of his sword, jacket, and future timeline trauma, this form would be pure fan-service in the best way.

Gohan

If anyone deserves Super Saiyan 3 on legacy alone, it is Gohan.

He was the first Saiyan to reach Super Saiyan 2, and Dragon Ball Z made a huge deal out of his hidden potential. Dragon Ball Super later gave him the Beast form, which was a massive comeback moment, but Super Saiyan 3 still feels like unfinished business for him.

Gohan does not even want to live like a full-time fighter, which makes his power-ups more interesting. A Gohan version of Super Saiyan 3 could remind fans that his ceiling is still ridiculous, even compared to Goku and Vegeta. If handled well, it would not replace Beast — it would simply add another missing piece to his Saiyan history.

Broly

Broly is built different, literally. As the Legendary Super Saiyan, his transformations already look and feel more violent than everyone else's. Dragon Ball Super: Broly also showed that he could clash with Gogeta in Super Saiyan Blue, which is already absurd.

So imagine Broly going Super Saiyan 3.

That would be chaos, bro. His hair, aura, muscle mass, and raw rage could make the form look completely unlike Goku's version. Since Broly's power has always been tied to his overwhelming instinct and personality, a Legendary Super Saiyan 3 version could easily become one of Dragon Ball's most intimidating designs ever.

Nappa

Then there is Nappa, the funniest and strangest pick.

His iconic look is bald head, moustache, and pure Saiyan brute energy. Super Saiyan 3 usually means huge hair and no eyebrows, so Nappa creates a hilarious design problem. Would he suddenly grow long golden hair? Would his moustache become the main transformation feature? Would the missing eyebrows be the only clue?

Dragon Ball has shown that Nappa had hair when he was younger, so the possibility is not completely impossible. Still, this is probably the most unlikely pick on the list — and that is exactly why fans keep imagining it.

Super Saiyan 3 may no longer be the newest or strongest form in Dragon Ball, but it remains one of the coolest. Whether it is Vegito, Trunks, Gohan, Broly, or even Nappa, the form still has plenty of room to surprise fans.
