The upcoming TV anime Suterare Seijo no Isekai Gohan Tabi: Kakure Skill de Camping Car wo Shoukan shimashita — officially translated as The Forsaken Saintess and her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World — has finally shown more of its flavour.
The anime’s official website shared a fresh update on Thursday, revealing its first promotional video, a new key visual, additional cast details, and information on the ending theme. The series is now scheduled to premiere in July 2026 in Japan.
For broadcast, the show will air first on Tokyo MX, before also running on BS Nippon Television, CBC Television, and AT-X. As usual, international streaming details have not been mentioned yet, so Malaysian and SEA fans will have to wait and see whether it lands on platforms like Crunchyroll, Bilibili, Ani-One Asia, Netflix, or another regional service.
What is this anime about?
The title is panjang gila, but the hook is pretty easy to understand: this is a fantasy gourmet isekai adapted from Yoneori’s light novel. The premise centres on a “forsaken saintess” and a hidden skill that lets her summon a camping car in another world.
That alone gives the series a slightly different angle from the usual sword-and-magic power fantasy. Instead of only chasing demon kings, dungeon loot, or overpowered revenge arcs, this one looks more focused on travel, food, survival comforts, and that cosy roadtrip fantasy — basically isekai with camp cooking energy.
The newly revealed cast includes Shouya Chiba as Ed. Chiba is a name anime fans may recognise from multiple modern roles, and his addition gives the supporting cast a bit more weight as the anime builds toward its summer rollout.
Why SEA anime fans should keep this on radar
Food-focused anime tends to travel well in this region. Malaysian viewers especially love anything that mixes fantasy escapism with makan vibes, because let’s be real — if an isekai hero can bring modern food culture into another world, we are immediately curious what kind of chaos happens next.
The camping car concept is also the fun part here. A lot of isekai titles rely on cheats like infinite magic, broken stats, or item boxes. This one’s special ability sounds more lifestyle-based: mobility, shelter, cooking space, and comfort. That could make the series more relaxed and character-driven, closer to a comfort watch than a heavy action show.
For the July 2026 anime season, this could sit nicely beside bigger action titles as the “chill weekly watch” — the kind of show you put on after dinner, not necessarily the one you scream about during every fight scene. If the adaptation nails the food presentation and travel mood, it has potential to click with viewers who enjoy fantasy but want something warmer and less sweaty.
What we still do not know
The latest announcement confirms the promo, visual, cast addition, ending theme update, and Japanese TV schedule, but there are still a few key details missing for fans outside Japan.
The big one is streaming. No Malaysia or SEA platform has been confirmed yet. We also do not have a full episode count from the provided update, and the exact regional release timing will depend on whichever licensor picks it up.
Still, with the first promo now out and a July 2026 premiere window locked in, The Forsaken Saintess and her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World is officially moving from “interesting light novel adaptation” into “okay, let’s see if this one actually cooks.”
