FuRyu is cooking something new, and for now, it is going by the name Project Alice.

The Japanese publisher has launched a fresh social media account for the mystery game and dropped its first teaser video. Details are still super thin — no platforms, no genre, no release window — but we do have one important date: the full reveal is scheduled for April 25, 2026 at 8:30pm JST.

For Malaysia and Singapore, that works out nicely to 7:30pm MYT/SGT. No need to wake up at ridiculous gacha livestream hours this time, bro.

What FuRyu Showed So Far

Right now, Project Alice is more vibes than facts. The teaser account only has one post, and it is clearly leaning into a dark, mysterious setup.

The post uses the four card suit symbols — spades, hearts, clubs, and diamonds — around the reveal date and time. That immediately gives the whole thing an Alice in Wonderland-adjacent feel, though FuRyu has not officially confirmed whether this is directly connected to that theme or just borrowing the imagery.

The video itself is almost completely black. There is a barely visible image hidden in the darkness, while the audio brings in static and the voice of a girl who sounds distressed. Some of the lines are hard to make out because of the distortion, but the final audible phrase is “gomen nasai,” meaning “I’m sorry” in Japanese.

So yeah, not exactly sunshine-and-rainbows JRPG energy. This feels more like psychological mystery, dark fantasy, or maybe a story-heavy anime-style game with horror elements. FuRyu fans will definitely be reading too much into every frame until the reveal drops.

Why SEA Players Should Watch This

FuRyu is one of those publishers that does not always hit mainstream hype levels like Atlus or Square Enix, but anime-game fans in Malaysia and SEA know the name. The company has built a reputation around stylish, niche Japanese games that often appeal to players who like character drama, supernatural stories, and slightly experimental JRPG ideas.

Its most recent worldwide release was Varlet in September 2025, a Persona-style JRPG. Before that, FuRyu was also involved with titles like Reynatis, The Legend of Legacy HD Remastered, and Crymachina.

That track record matters because Project Alice could land in the same lane: not necessarily a massive blockbuster, but potentially the kind of game that anime fans, JRPG grinders, and visual-novel-adjacent players keep on their radar.

For Malaysian players, the big question will be platform support. If this comes to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, or PC via Steam, it becomes much easier to access locally. If it is more limited at launch, SEA fans may need to wait for localisation or international release details.

The Reveal Is Soon

For now, FuRyu is keeping everything locked down. No gameplay, no character names, no official genre, no confirmed platforms. Just a creepy teaser, card suit symbols, a panicked voice, and a date.

The full Project Alice reveal happens on April 25, 2026 at 7:30pm Malaysia time. If you are into darker anime games or niche JRPGs with weird energy, this is one to keep an eye on.
