HoYoverse has officially teased Nicole Reeyn as an upcoming playable character in Genshin Impact, with the mysterious witch set to arrive in Luna VII, also known as Version 6.7.
Long-time lore fans will already know Nicole by another name: N. Until now, she has mostly existed as part of the wider mythos around the Hexenzirkel, the secretive witches' circle associated with Alice, who is better known to many players as Klee’s mother. With Nicole now stepping into the playable roster, she becomes the first Hexenzirkel member players can actually use, which is a pretty big deal for anyone who has been following the game’s deeper story threads.
HoYoverse describes Nicole as a “voiceless angel” and a mage, continuing the game’s habit of giving major lore characters a strong, slightly cryptic identity before launch. Her official art confirms that she will be a Pyro character. Her weapon type has not been announced yet, but because she is framed as a witch and spellcaster, some fans will naturally start guessing Catalyst. For now, though, that part remains unconfirmed.
Another detail revealed in the teaser is Nicole’s Constellation name: Reliquiarium. The term points toward sacred relics, which fits neatly with the more mystical, ceremonial feel surrounding her character. Interestingly, while she is referred to as an “angel,” her current artwork does not show wings. That contrast seems intentional, and it adds even more intrigue to how HoYoverse wants players to read her role.
The teaser text also hints at a few story beats tied to Nicole’s personality and history. It references her meeting with Alice, her tendency to get carried away in her “club,” and her attempt to restore some sense of balance. That is still pretty vague, but it suggests Nicole may not just be another flashy banner character. She could end up carrying meaningful story weight in the Luna patch cycle.
What makes this reveal especially interesting is the wider Hexenzirkel context. This group has been teased across story content and promotional material for quite a while, so players have had plenty of time to build expectations around its members. Some may have assumed Alice would be the first one to become playable, but HoYoverse is going with Nicole first instead. That said, Alice is still part of this broader Luna version patch series, and she had already been confirmed alongside Nicole back in July 2025.
For Malaysian and wider Southeast Asian players, this matters for a simple reason: Genshin Impact remains one of the region’s biggest live-service games across mobile, PC, and console. New characters with heavy lore ties tend to drive big conversation across local communities, from WhatsApp groups and Discord servers to TikTok theory videos and livestream pull sessions. A first playable Hexenzirkel character is exactly the kind of reveal that gets both casual fans and lore nerds paying attention.
It could also have a real impact on saving plans. Players across SEA, where mobile gaming is especially strong, are usually selective about Primogem spending. A Pyro unit with major lore importance is the kind of banner that may tempt even disciplined free-to-play users, especially if Version 6.7 starts revealing more about the witches and how they connect to the next phase of the story.
For now, the biggest confirmed points are clear: Nicole Reeyn is coming, she is Pyro, and Version 6.7 will finally make Hexenzirkel history playable.
