KFC Japan has started teasing a new Genshin Impact collaboration, and if you are an Alhaitham or Kaveh fan, this one is looking very familiar.
The teaser shared by KFC Japan shows two mystery silhouettes, but let’s be real lah — Genshin players will probably clock them instantly. The left silhouette appears to match Alhaitham, while the right one strongly resembles Kaveh, especially with the very recognisable hair shapes and accessories. It also lines up with the previous 2025 China KFC x Genshin Impact event, which featured the same Sumeru duo in similar poses.
For now, KFC Japan has not confirmed the campaign date or full event details. So no, don’t start booking flights to Tokyo just yet. But based on past Genshin fast-food collabs, fans can probably expect the usual mix of limited-time promotional visuals, exclusive merchandise, and possibly in-game rewards.
Why this matters for Malaysian Genshin fans
Even though this teaser is for Japan, Malaysian and SEA players should still keep one eye on it. Genshin’s food collabs often start in specific regions, but the in-game items sometimes find their way to global players later through other channels.
Previous KFC campaigns have included items such as themed recipes and the Wings of Feasting glider. That glider originally became famous through the China KFC collab before HoYoverse later made limited rewards available elsewhere through promotions like Twitch and Razer Gold events.
That’s the important bit for us in Malaysia: even if KFC Malaysia does not announce anything, there is still a chance some rewards could eventually appear through online campaigns. Nothing is guaranteed, of course, but Genshin players here already know the drill — regional collab first, global reward distribution maybe later.
Alhaitham and Kaveh are a smart pick
Character-wise, this pairing makes total sense. Alhaitham and Kaveh are one of Genshin’s most popular Sumeru dynamics, with a fanbase that goes way beyond just gameplay meta. Their contrasting personalities — one calm and brutally logical, the other dramatic and emotionally expressive — make them perfect for collab art and merch.
And honestly, Genshin collab merch can go crazy. Acrylic stands, badges, meal packaging, postcards — all the stuff collectors will happily hunt down, especially if the artwork is exclusive. If Japan gets a proper campaign, expect proxy-buying channels and reseller listings to light up fast.
A quick look back at Genshin x KFC collabs
This is not Genshin’s first KFC rodeo. Earlier campaigns in Asia featured characters like Diluc and Noelle, with in-game food items inspired by KFC-style dishes such as Golden Chicken Burger, Golden Fried Chicken, and Fragrant Mashed Potatoes. Another collaboration later highlighted Lyney and Lynette.
North America still has not had a direct KFC x Genshin restaurant event, according to the source material, but HoYoverse has previously used alternative promotions to distribute limited crossover rewards.
For now, the confirmed takeaway is simple: Genshin Impact’s KFC crossover is heading to Japan, and the teaser strongly suggests Alhaitham and Kaveh are the stars. Genshin is available on PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices.
