Hell Mode is not logging out yet
Good news for isekai grinders: Hell Mode - The Hardcore Gamer Dominates in Another World with Garbage Balancing is officially getting a third season.
The announcement came through the anime's official website, which confirmed that the next season will adapt the S-Rank Dungeon Conquest Arc. A new visual was also revealed alongside the news.
The timing is pretty direct too. The anime's second season ended on Friday, effectively Saturday depending on broadcast timing, and the sequel confirmation arrived right after. For fans who hate waiting months just to know whether a story will continue, this is the clean kind of update.
What has been confirmed
The third season will cover the S-Kyū Dungeon Kōryaku-hen, translated as the S-Rank Dungeon Conquest Arc.
The anime is based on the light novel series written by Hamuo and illustrated by Mo. The story originally began on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in November 2019, and it is still ongoing. Earth Star Entertainment started publishing the print version in July 2020.
There is also a manga adaptation by Tetta, which launched on Comic Earth Star in October 2020 and is ongoing as well.
Staff and production details
The source also lists several returning names involved with the anime. Masato Tamagawa, whose credits include Saint Seiya: Saintia Shō, The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt, and The Great Cleric, returned to direct at Yokohama Animation Lab.
Daishiro Tanimura handled the series scripts again, while Kei Tsushima returned for character design. The music team includes Misaki Tsuchida, Junko Nakajima, Reiko Abe, Moyu Kanazaki, Kaho Sawada, Kanade Sakuma, BeauDamian, Tsugumi Tanaka, Shūichirō Fukuhiro, Mayo Kurihara, and Shin Miki.
That matters because Hell Mode is the kind of show that lives or dies on consistency. It is not just about throwing another overpowered protagonist into another fantasy world. Where the anime has been airing
The latest season debuted on Tokyo MX on July 3 at 25:00, which effectively means July 4 at 1:00 a.m. It is also airing on MBS, BS NTV, and AT-X. HIDIVE is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan.
The first season previously premiered on Japanese television on January 9 at 25:05, effectively January 10 at 1:05 a.m., before later broadcasts and streaming rollouts on services including ABEMA, d Anime Store, U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai. HIDIVE streamed that season too, including an English dub.
Why SEA anime fans should care — analysis
For Malaysia and SEA viewers, the interesting part is not just “another isekai got renewed.” The bigger signal is that Hell Mode seems to have enough momentum to move straight into a more advanced arc after season 2.
That is important for a series built around hardcore RPG progression. A lot of isekai anime introduce game systems, stats, and difficulty settings, then slowly become generic fantasy power trips.
