HIDIVE has picked up The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Road Trip in Another World for its Summer 2026 simulcast season, with the anime set to premiere in July 2026.

The catch for Malaysian fans? HIDIVE’s confirmed exclusive streaming regions currently cover the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and selected overseas markets. Malaysia and wider SEA were not specifically listed, so for now, local viewers will have to wait and see whether another platform grabs regional rights.

Still, this one is worth keeping on the radar if your watchlist has space for comfort-food fantasy. The series mixes two very popular lanes right now: gourmet anime and slow-life isekai. Basically, less “chosen hero must save the world”, more “I got dropped into another world, so I’m going camping and eating good.” Honestly, after a long day stuck in traffic on the Federal Highway or grinding ranked until 2AM, that vibe memang hits different.

The story follows Rin Takanashi, a caregiver in her late 20s who gets summoned as a saint, only to be abandoned in another world. Instead of collapsing into despair, she makes the most of her ridiculous god-tier abilities: Motor Home, nicknamed Mochan, and Survival. From there, Rin leans into solo camping, cooking, and meeting new companions across a fantasy world.

HIDIVE has also released the main visual and the first English-subtitled promotional video for the anime. The newly announced cast includes Sumire Morohoshi as Aria, Shoya Chiba as Ed, Shinnosuke Tachibana as Xenon, and Kaede Hondo as Comamiso. They join the main cast of Sora Tokui as Rin Takanashi and Yuki Ono as Vil.

On the music side, the opening theme is “Butterfly” by INUWASI, while the ending theme is “Holy Sweet Home” by Onkan Lemonade. Very on-brand titles for a show about travelling, eating, and finding a cosy place in a strange world.

The anime is based on the light novel The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World by Yoneori, with illustrations by Akane Nito. The light novel has six volumes out so far, while the manga adaptation by Nana Kogami has released four volumes. The series has also passed 600,000 copies in circulation, which is a solid sign that this is not just some random isekai pulled from the content machine.

Animation production is handled by EMT Squared. The main staff includes Atsushi Nigorikawa as director, Takashi Aoshima on series composition, Izumi Ishii as character designer, Kana Utatane on music, and Lantis handling music production. Sound production is by Bit Grooove Promotion, with Hiroto Morishita as sound director. The project is produced in cooperation with Ankichi Kobo.

For Malaysian anime fans, the big thing to watch is licensing. If HIDIVE does not cover Malaysia directly, we may be waiting on platforms like Ani-One Asia, Bilibili, Netflix, Prime Video, or another regional distributor to step in. Gourmet isekai usually plays well here because it is easy weekend comfort viewing — low stress, cute cast, fantasy setting, and food scenes that make you want supper.

If the adaptation nails the cosy camping-food energy, The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Road Trip in Another World could become one of Summer 2026’s chill sleeper picks.
