HoYoVerse has shared the full moveset for the Elation Trailblazer ahead of the Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.2 update, giving players a clearer idea of how this new form will work before it officially drops on April 22, 2026.
The company first teased this version of the Trailblazer back in March 2026, saying it would show up after Version 4.2 launched. Now, details posted through HoYoLab confirm that this kit leans heavily into the Elation playstyle, with mechanics built around stacking Punchlines and setting up attacks tied to Aha, the Aeon of Elation.
From what HoYoVerse has shown, this is not just another damage dealer with a different coat of paint. The Elation Trailblazer looks designed to support teammates too, especially if your squad already runs other Elation characters.
What the Elation Trailblazer does
Two parts of the kit stand out most: the Technique and the Ultimate.
The Technique, We are so Back, applies a random effect that boosts Elation and affects the entire party. That already makes it sound useful for pre-fight setup, especially for players who like building around synergy instead of just raw stats.
Then there is the Ultimate, May the Trailblaze Fly You Starward. This one is flexible enough to help any teammate because it can remove Crowd Control debuffs and temporarily increase critical damage dealt. That alone gives it decent value in tougher fights where getting stunned, frozen, or otherwise locked down can ruin a run.
But HoYoVerse also made it clear that the Ultimate works best with Elation allies. It interacts with Punchlines, grants Certified Banger, and even lets those Elation teammates immediately use their Skill. If the target is not an Elation character, they still get an action advance instead.
Lightning attacks across the rest of the kit
Outside of its support tools, the Elation Trailblazer also brings Lightning damage across its offensive abilities.
- Make Some Noise is the Basic Attack and hits one enemy.
- Let the Storm Rage is the regular Skill, dealing damage to all enemies while also giving the Trailblazer Certified Banger status points.
- The Elation Skill, I Said, “Elation,” Did I Stutter, works a bit differently by dealing Lightning damage to enemies randomly one by one, before ending with damage applied to every enemy.
That setup suggests a character who can chip away at groups while also feeding their own special mechanics for follow-up support.
Why Malaysian and SEA players should care
For a lot of Honkai: Star Rail players in Malaysia and across SEA, this reveal is the kind of thing you want to check before spending pulls or planning your next team. If you are already invested in Elation units, the Elation Trailblazer looks like a pretty obvious character to watch because the kit seems made to push that archetype harder.
Even if you are not fully committed to an Elation lineup yet, the built-in utility from Crowd Control cleanse, crit damage support, and turn manipulation could still make this form worth testing. For players who follow patch-by-patch meta shifts, this is also the kind of reveal that can change how people prep relics, team slots, and banner priorities before the update goes live.
The Elation Trailblazer is also not arriving alone. HoYoVerse previously confirmed that Lvl 999 Silver Wolf alt and Evanescia will also debut as part of the Version 4.2 lineup, making this patch look stacked for anyone saving currency.
Honkai: Star Rail is available now on PS5, PC, and mobile, with the Elation Trailblazer set to arrive alongside Version 4.2 on April 22, 2026.
