Sega, Square Enix, and Disney are teaming up for a new batch of Kingdom Hearts & you miniature plush toys, and this one is aimed straight at fans of the original party.
The latest collection will feature Sora, Donald, and Goofy, with the trio scheduled to appear in Japanese arcades from May 15, 2026. For now, there is no confirmed worldwide retail release, so Malaysian and SEA collectors should treat this as a Japan-first arcade prize drop rather than something you can simply walk into a local shop and buy.
Each plush is just under five inches tall, so these are small display-friendly collectibles rather than full-size plushies. The designs use the characters’ outfits from the first Kingdom Hearts game, with a cute chibi-style look. All three are posed with their hands tucked near the chin, though Goofy’s version looks a bit trickier because, well, his head is massive — classic Goofy problem, honestly.
The lineup is pretty focused: no random deep cuts, no massive wave, just the core team from the first adventure. That makes sense for this kind of plush release. Sora, Donald, and Goofy are still the most instantly recognisable Kingdom Hearts trio, especially for fans who started with the PS2 original back when Disney worlds plus Square Enix-style action RPG drama felt completely wild.
For Malaysian fans, the main thing to note is availability. These are arcade prizes in Japan, which usually means they may later show up through import-focused stores or resellers. Siliconera notes that sites like Aitai Kuji often sell these kinds of items globally after they debut in Japan, but there is no official worldwide storefront announcement yet. So if you collect Kingdom Hearts merch here, expect the usual import route: watch Japanese goods sites, check proxy listings, and be ready for shipping costs to sting a bit.
This is also not Sega’s first time giving Kingdom Hearts the plush treatment. The series previously appeared in the Sega & you plush line in September 2024, with a Kingdom Hearts II-themed set that included Sora, King Mickey, and a Heartless. Sega also released Kingdom Hearts Heartless plush collections in early 2025, with two volumes arriving in January and February.
So this new May 2026 wave feels like Sega circling back to the original game’s most iconic team. It is a simple set, but for longtime fans, that is probably the appeal. No complicated variant nonsense — just Sora, Donald, and Goofy in their classic looks, sized for a desk, shelf, or gaming setup.
The Kingdom Hearts & you Sora, Donald, and Goofy plush collection launches in Japanese arcades on May 15, 2026. The original Kingdom Hearts is available across PS2, PS3, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.
