MAPPA is celebrating 15 years with the kind of lineup that makes anime fans stop scrolling for a second. The studio has revealed newly drawn illustrations for several of its biggest series ahead of MAPPA EXPO 15th Anniversary, and yes, the heavy hitters are all here: JUJUTSU KAISEN, Chainsaw Man and Attack on Titan.
The new art will be displayed at the exhibition, with exclusive merchandise based on the illustrations planned for release during the event. Advance lottery ticket sales are already underway.
For JUJUTSU KAISEN fans, MAPPA revealed four fresh illustrations. Each one spotlights a different part of the franchise: JUJUTSU KAISEN 0, the Shibuya Incident arc, the Hidden Inventory / Premature Death arc, and Culling Game arc Part 1. That timing is pretty spicy too, because MAPPA recently showed a trailer for JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 4, covering Culling Game arc Part 2.
Chainsaw Man is also getting attention, with two newly revealed illustrations. The source notes that Chainsaw Man: International Assassins Arc is currently in production. Attack on Titan also has a new illustration joining the expo lineup.
The exhibition’s new key visual was drawn by Akiko Kudo, who is also the character designer for the event artwork. The visual pulls together characters from across MAPPA’s productions, basically turning the studio’s anniversary into a crossover flex.
What titles are involved?
Beyond the big three, MAPPA EXPO 15th Anniversary will include newly drawn illustrations from multiple studio titles, including:
- JUJUTSU KAISEN, including Shibuya Incident and Culling Game Arc Part 1
- Chainsaw Man
- Attack on Titan
- Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku
- Yuri!!! on ICE
- Zombie Land Saga
- BANANA FISH
- Kakegurui
- Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill
- Additional MAPPA works
Each illustration is set to receive original merchandise during the exhibition.
Event dates and venue
MAPPA EXPO 15th Anniversary will take place at YURAKUCHO MUSEUM in Tokyo, Japan, from September 16 to December 7, 2026.
The event is split into two parts:
- Part 1: September 16 to October 25, 2026
- Part 2: October 28 to December 7, 2026
The venue will be closed on October 26 and 27 between the two exhibition periods.
According to MAPPA, the expo is designed to let visitors experience the worlds of its productions through immersive displays, while also looking back at the studio’s history since it was founded in 2011. The exhibition will place special focus on Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, Attack on Titan The Final Season and JUJUTSU KAISEN.
Visitors will also receive an admission bonus: one original key animation postcard inside a cut-bag style envelope. Guests can choose between Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, Attack on Titan The Final Season or JUJUTSU KAISEN, then receive one random postcard from five designs available for that chosen series.
MAPPA says more illustrations and merchandise are expected to be revealed before the exhibition opens.
Why SEA fans should care
Analysis: Even if the event itself is in Tokyo, this matters for Malaysia and SEA anime fans because MAPPA’s biggest franchises are already part of the regional anime conversation. JUJUTSU KAISEN, Chainsaw Man and Attack on Titan are the type of shows that dominate watch parties, merch wishlists and group chats whenever new visuals drop. For collectors especially, anniversary-exclusive artwork and random postcard bonuses usually become the stuff people track closely online.
No Malaysia or SEA release details for the exhibition merchandise were stated in the source, so don’t take this as a local availability announcement. But as a signal of MAPPA’s current priority franchises, this expo is worth watching.
