Another manga is making the jump to anime, and this one has a pretty fun hook for fans who like their family drama with bullets, conspiracies, and immortal siblings.
Production company Kuma has announced that Akira Kazugai's Odoru Sennen Kazoku, also known as Millennium Family, is getting a TV anime adaptation. The reveal came with the usual first-wave goodies: lead cast info, main staff, a teaser visual, and an announcement promo. The series is set to air on TBS and other channels in Japan.
For the lead role, Rikuya Yasuda will voice Theo. Anime fans may recognise Yasuda from Mayonaka Heart Tune, so this is a nice spotlight role for him, especially if the show leans into both the comedy and heavier action side of the manga.
Behind the scenes, Masato Jinbo is handling both directing and series composition. His past credits include The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 and Dokyuu Hentai HxEros, which suggests the adaptation has someone experienced with genre-heavy material. Hiroshi Yoneda is on character design and chief animation director duties, while animation production is being handled by PartsCraft.
So what's the story? The setup follows seven immortal siblings born in England who basically have what every villain, government lab, and shady organisation wants: eternal life. Because of that, they become targets for the criminal underworld, corrupt medical institutions, and even international military groups. After being separated for centuries, the siblings come back together, which sounds like the perfect excuse for chaotic family banter mixed with action-comedy nonsense.
The manga has been running in Young King OURs since March 2021. Shounen Gahousha released volume eight in October 2025, with volume nine scheduled for July 30. For English readers, Orange Inc. has licensed the manga and publishes it digitally through the emaqi app.
For Malaysian and SEA anime fans, this is one to keep an eye on because it fits the type of mid-sized adaptation that can either quietly disappear or suddenly become a seasonal sleeper hit. Not every anime needs to be a mega-franchise, bro. Sometimes the fun stuff is the weird action-comedy with a strong premise, a messy immortal family, and enough conspiracy flavour to keep each episode moving.
The big question now is streaming availability. Since the Japanese broadcast is confirmed for TBS and other channels, SEA fans will have to wait for platform announcements before knowing whether it lands on the usual regional services. If it gets picked up properly, this could be an easy weekly watch for fans who want something lighter than full-on dark fantasy but still more exciting than a normal slice-of-life comedy.
No premiere window has been announced yet, so for now, Odoru Sennen Kazoku sits firmly in the “interesting adaptation to watch” pile. The premise is strong, the staff list is out, and the manga already has enough material published to build from. If the anime nails the sibling chemistry and keeps the action sharp, this one could be more fun than expected.
