One Piece is going big with two new films
One Piece fans, makan time can wait — Toei Animation has confirmed not one, but two new One Piece feature films are now in development.

Why God Valley is a big deal
According to the announcement, One Piece Film God Valley will adapt the God Valley flashback from Eiichiro Oda’s original manga, which appears during the Elbaph arc.
That matters because One Piece movies have traditionally leaned into original stories rather than directly adapting key manga material. This one is being framed as the first major One Piece film to directly cover part of the manga’s main storyline.
