The second One Piece World Top 100 global character poll has dropped its interim rankings, and honestly, no shock lah — the Straw Hat captain is still sitting on the throne.
According to the latest update, Monkey D. Luffy is currently in first place, followed by Roronoa Zoro in second and Sanji in third. That means the Monster Trio is fully locking down the top three for now, which feels very on-brand for a fandom that still argues weekly about power scaling, best boy status, and who carried which arc.
The current top 10 are:
- Monkey D. Luffy
- Roronoa Zoro
- Sanji
- Nami
- Trafalgar Law
- Nico Robin
- Portgas D. Ace
- Shanks
- Uta
- Tony Tony Chopper
The big takeaway? The Straw Hat Pirates are still gila strong globally. Every member of the crew made it into the current top 30: Nami is fourth, Nico Robin sixth, Chopper tenth, Usopp 16th, Brook 20th, Franky 26th, and Jinbe 30th.
That is a pretty loud reminder that even with decades of characters, villains, side favourites, tragic legends, and newer fan-favourites entering the mix, the core crew still owns the emotional heart of One Piece.
Outside the Straw Hats, the early rankings also show how powerful certain legacy and hype characters remain. Trafalgar Law is holding fifth, Ace is seventh, Shanks sits eighth, and Uta is ninth. The rest of the current top 20 includes Boa Hancock, Rocks D. Xebec, Donquixote Rosinante / Corazon, Sabo, Crocodile, Yamato, Perona, Rob Lucci, and Brook.
For fans in Malaysia and SEA, the more interesting part is coming very soon. The poll will reveal interim rankings by region on May 11, covering Japan, Asia, Oceania, North America, Central and South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. That Asia breakdown is the one to watch, because SEA fandom tastes can be very different from Japan or the US. Don’t be surprised if characters like Law, Zoro, Robin, Hancock, or Ace perform extra strongly here.
Voting for the One Piece World Top 100 2nd poll started on March 4 and will stay open until June 11 at 11:59pm Japan Time — that’s 10:59pm Malaysia time. Fans can vote once per day, so if your favourite is just outside the top 10, there’s still time to push them up.
The scale of this thing is massive too. The poll includes 1,567 characters from across the One Piece franchise, and it has already passed 10 million votes at the time of reporting. Final results will be announced during One Piece Day ’26 in August.
Basically, this is not just a popularity contest for fun. It’s a snapshot of where the global One Piece fandom’s heart is right now — and with the regional results coming, SEA fans finally get to see whether our side of the fandom is riding with the same icons as everyone else, or cooking up a different ranking entirely.
