Persona fans who also happen to be vinyl collectors, ini memang dangerous for the wallet. The Persona 30th Anniversary Jazz Album, which is already available digitally, is now getting a physical vinyl release.

The album will launch in Q4 2026, with two versions available: a standard 180 Gram edition and an iam8bit variant. Both are priced at US$31.99 each, which works out to roughly the RM150-ish range before shipping, taxes, and whatever pain import fees decide to bring. Pre-orders through iam8bit are open until June 8, 2026.

For Malaysian and SEA fans, the main thing to note is that this looks like a collector/import situation rather than something you can casually grab at a local mall. If you are planning to buy, it is worth checking shipping costs early, because vinyl can get pricey to bring in — and damaged corners are every collector’s nightmare, bro.

What makes this Persona album special?

This is not just another Persona 5-heavy soundtrack release. The album pulls from across the wider Persona series, covering older and newer entries instead of only leaning on modern favourites like Persona 3 Reload or Persona 5 Royal.

The jazz arrangements are performed by The Blueshift Big Band, giving familiar Persona tracks a big-band flavour. That is actually a pretty natural fit for the series, since Persona music has always had that stylish, genre-blending identity — acid jazz, pop, rock, hip-hop, lounge, all mixed into something instantly recognisable.

The two vinyl versions are functionally the same, so you are not missing music if you pick one over the other. The difference is visual: the 180 Gram edition is black, while the iam8bit edition comes in teal. Basically, choose based on shelf vibes.

Full tracklist

Side A

  • “Snow Queen”
  • “Maya’s Theme”
  • “Full Moon Full Life”
  • “It’s Going Down Now”

Side B

  • “Heaven”
  • “Heartbeat, Heartbreak”
  • “Last Surprise”
  • “Aria of the Soul”

That tracklist is a nice spread. You get older-school Persona representation, big modern cuts, and of course “Last Surprise”, because let’s be real — a Persona anniversary release without that track would feel illegal.

Why SEA fans should care

Persona has grown massively in Southeast Asia over the last decade, especially after Persona 5 brought the series into the mainstream for a lot of players. But physical game music releases are still a niche collector thing here. We do not always get easy regional access, and when we do, stock can disappear fast or arrive through resellers at painful markups.

So if you are the kind of fan who buys art books, figures, steelbooks, or vinyl soundtracks, this is one to keep on your radar. It also lands during the wider Persona anniversary period, so Atlus clearly knows nostalgia is strong right now.

Atlus and iam8bit have worked on multiple Persona music releases before, including a 25th anniversary deluxe LP set featuring music from every game in the series. This 30th anniversary jazz album feels like a more focused, stylish companion piece rather than a giant all-in-one collection.

The Persona 30th Anniversary Jazz Album is available digitally now, with the vinyl release planned for Q4 2026.
