Persona 5 Royal Gashapon Keychains Are Rolling Out In North America

Persona 5 Royal fans, the Phantom Thieves are getting another merch drop — just not in our region yet.

Bandai Namco’s official North American Gashapon site has updated its May 2026 lineup, and one of the incoming releases is a set of Persona 5 Royal capsule rubber mascot keychains. These are headed to Gashapon machines in the US and Canada by the end of the month.

No price is listed on the North American page for now. The set is also not new-new, because it matches the earlier Japanese release batch. Still, for collectors outside Japan, this is the kind of rollout that matters because it means the merch is moving beyond its original market.

Each keychain is a rubber mascot design featuring a Persona 5 Royal party member alongside their signature Persona. Joker appears with Arsene, while Panther is paired with Carmen. The designs come with a ball chain, so you can clip them onto keys, sling bags, backpacks, or that one pouch you bring to every con because it somehow fits everything.

The lineup also does not appear to include a secret chase item. That is good news if you are trying to complete the set without entering true gacha suffering mode. According to the listing details, all playable party members are included, so this is aimed squarely at fans who want the full Phantom Thieves collection instead of just the usual Joker-only merch.

For Malaysian and SEA fans, the annoying part is obvious: this announcement is only for US and Canada Gashapon machines. There is no Malaysia or wider SEA release confirmed in the source material. That means local collectors will probably be watching import shops, reseller listings, proxy buyers, and convention booths if they want these early.

And yes, the resale pricing could get spicy. Persona merch already has a strong collector base here, especially with Royal being available on so many platforms now — PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. The Switch and PC releases in particular made Persona 5 Royal way more accessible for SEA players who skipped the original PS3 and PS4 era.

This also lands during a nice moment for Persona music fans. The Persona Super Live P-Sound Bomb 2017 concert is also appearing on YouTube, following the earlier planned Atlus performance releases. Unlike the older Persona Music Fes 2013 and Persona Super Live 2015 in Nippon Budokan Night of the Phantom concerts, the 2017 show includes songs from Persona 5, since the game had not launched yet when those earlier performances happened.

So while the keychains are technically a North America Gashapon update, Persona fans in Malaysia should still keep an eye on it. When a Bandai Namco capsule item expands beyond Japan, it sometimes becomes easier for regional importers and hobby stores to source stock. No promises, bro, but if you collect Phantom Thieves merch, this is one to monitor before Shopee listings start testing everyone’s wallet.
