HoYoverse’s Petit Planet is almost done with its current Stardrift Test beta, so if you managed to get in, this is basically your last call to log back in and settle anything you still wanted to try.
The beta is scheduled to end on May 25, 2026. It first opened on April 21, 2026, giving selected players roughly a month to explore the test build before everything shuts down. For Malaysian and SEA players who got access, that means the remaining window is short — especially if you were treating this as a chill side game between your usual gacha dailies, ranked grind, or mobile gaming sessions.
Important bit first: your beta save data will not carry over when Petit Planet eventually launches in version 1.0. HoYoverse has made it clear that this is still a test, so whatever progress is tied to your account during Stardrift Test will be wiped. When the full release arrives, everyone starts fresh from zero.
That might sting a bit if you already spent time decorating, collecting, or building up your beta experience, but honestly, this is pretty standard for closed tests. The upside is that players can experiment freely now without worrying too much about “wasting” resources or making the wrong early-game choices. Just enjoy the vibes, test what you can, and treat it like a preview rather than a proper launch account.
Before the beta closes, HoYoverse is also giving testers two ways to keep some memories from the Stardrift Test.
First, there is something tied to Nalo’s memories. Players can visit the Cafe Untamed Feedback Survey and complete it if they want Nalo to remember the beta experience. This is optional, which is a nice touch. If you prefer a totally clean emotional reset when version 1.0 launches, you can simply skip the survey and start fresh later.
The second activity is called Share Your Planet Memories. To join, players need to post on HoYoLAB with either a written record of their Stardrift Test experience or a screenshot, then include the hashtag #Stardrift Test Check-In. Taking part rewards players with an Oumuamua profile background. The source lists this campaign as running until March 25, 2026, though players should double-check the live HoYoLAB event page since that date appears earlier than the beta’s end date.
For SEA players, the bigger thing to watch is what HoYoverse does with Petit Planet after this. The company already has a massive regional audience thanks to games like Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero, so any new PC-and-mobile project from them will naturally get attention here. Mobile-first accessibility matters a lot in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines, and if Petit Planet lands with the right mix of casual play, personality, and social features, it could find a strong audience outside the usual hardcore gacha crowd.
For now, there is still no confirmed launch date for Petit Planet version 1.0. Siliconera notes that future updates could possibly appear around Summer Game Fest 2026 or Tokyo Game Show 2026, but nothing has been officially locked in yet.
Petit Planet is currently in development for PC and mobile devices. The Stardrift Test beta ends on May 25, 2026.
