Pokemon Pokopia’s Bulbasaur Jump Rope Event Starts April 19 With a Trophy Reward

Pokemon Pokopia is getting another limited-time event, and this one is all about Bulbasaur. Nintendo has confirmed that Bulbasaur’s Jump Rope Contest will run from April 19 to April 26, 2026, giving players one week to jump in, rack up scores, and earn event rewards.

Right now, the only reward that has been clearly confirmed is a trophy. There are supposed to be other items tied to the event too, but Nintendo has not revealed what those are yet. So if you are the kind of player who hates missing exclusive collectibles, this is probably one to keep on your radar.

The event itself is tied to the Bulbasaur jump rope minigame already found in Pokemon Pokopia. Once the event goes live, players can check whether it has started by finding Bulbasaur in-game and talking to it. If the contest is active, Bulbasaur will mention that the jump rope event is happening. Under normal conditions, the minigame is simply something you can access through dialogue when you approach the Pokemon, and the goal is straightforward: jump as many times as possible.

If Bulbasaur does not appear right away, there is an easy workaround. Head to the habitat where it lives and use Honey to bring it out. Honey can be obtained by investigating glittering flowers or by picking up drops from Combee. Since Bulbasaur is one of the earlier Pokemon players meet in the game, there is a good chance it will still be in the Withered Wasteland, unless you already moved it somewhere else.

For Malaysian and wider SEA players, this kind of event matters more than it might look at first glance. Pokemon games love limited-time bonuses, and if Pokopia keeps doing these short event windows, missing a week could mean missing cosmetics, trophies, or even unlock-related items you cannot easily get later. If you are already juggling live-service games, gacha dailies, and seasonal anime backlog, this is the kind of thing that can slip by fast, so better mark the date early.

This also looks like part of a bigger pattern for Pokemon Pokopia. Back in March 2026, the game held an event featuring Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff. Those Pokemon were not normally available in the base game, and players could visit Dream Islands to gather Cotton Spore items. Those could then be traded for furniture and flower seeds used to create habitats for the event characters. After the event ended, players were still able to make a home for Hoppip and move it in.

Then there was the game’s April Fools’ Day event on April 1, 2026. During that one-day event, players had to speak to Pokemon around the game and complete quizzes to earn an Inflatable Sudowoodo item. So yeah, Pokopia is clearly not doing just one-off gimmicks. It seems to be building a steady schedule of smaller live events to keep players checking back in.

That is good news if you enjoy cozy collection sims with rotating activities, but it also means completionists will probably need to stay alert. For Switch 2 owners in Malaysia and SEA, the Bulbasaur event sounds like a chill, low-commitment thing to clear during the week, especially if you are already decorating habitats and collecting trophies anyway.

Pokemon Pokopia is available now on Nintendo Switch 2, and Bulbasaur’s Jump Rope Contest runs from April 19 to April 26, 2026.
