Pokemon Pokopia Switch 2 Bundle Confirmed for Australia and New Zealand

Nintendo has revealed a new Switch 2 hardware bundle for Pokemon Pokopia, but for now, Malaysian fans will need to watch from the sidelines a bit.

The bundle has only been confirmed for Australia and New Zealand so far, making Oceania the first region with an official Pokemon Pokopia Switch 2 package. According to Nintendo’s regional announcement, the bundle launches on June 5, 2026.

At the time of writing, there has been no matching reveal from Nintendo accounts in other regions. That means no confirmed Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, or broader SEA release yet.

What comes in the Pokemon Pokopia Switch 2 bundle?

This is not a limited-edition console design, so don’t expect a Ditto-purple Switch 2 or special Pokemon-themed Joy-Con-style hardware. The package includes the standard Switch 2 console and a digital download for Pokemon Pokopia.

In other words, there is no physical cartridge inside the box. That probably will not shock Switch 2 buyers too much, since Nintendo has already been leaning into download-based bundles and game-key card setups for some releases.

The bundle is already listed through My Nintendo in Australia, priced at AUD $769.95. For Malaysian readers, that is roughly around RM2.4k before any potential local taxes, shipping, retailer markup, or exchange rate changes. Basically, if this ever comes here officially, don’t expect it to be a budget bundle.

Nintendo also said it will be sold through My Nintendo and selected retailers, but the full retailer list has not been shared yet.

Same pricing as the Mario Kart World bundle

One interesting detail is the price. The Pokemon Pokopia Switch 2 bundle costs the same as the Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle on Nintendo Australia’s store: AUD $769.95.

That suggests Nintendo is treating these game-included bundles as standard-value packages rather than premium collector editions. The Mario Kart World bundle is available worldwide, while this Pokemon Pokopia one is currently limited to Australia and New Zealand.

For SEA buyers, that difference matters. Mario Kart is the obvious mass-market pack-in game, but Pokemon has a huge regional fanbase too. If Nintendo or local distributors eventually bring this bundle into Malaysia, it could be a very practical starter set for families, younger players, and Pokemon fans upgrading to Switch 2.

Why Malaysia and SEA should care

Pokemon Pokopia is already available worldwide on Switch 2, so Malaysian players are not missing the game itself. What we are waiting on is whether this hardware bundle becomes a proper regional product or stays an Oceania-only thing.

Bundles like this usually matter because they make the console purchase feel slightly less painful. Instead of buying the hardware and game separately, you get a clearer entry point — especially useful for parents, younger fans, or anyone finally jumping into the Switch 2 ecosystem.

If local retailers import the Australian set, expect the price to climb once shipping and margins are added. If Nintendo confirms an official SEA version later, that would be the cleaner option for warranty and pricing. For now, Malaysian fans should hold off unless they really want the box art or are already planning to import.

Pokemon Pokopia is available worldwide on Switch 2 now. Australia and New Zealand will receive the Switch 2 bundle on June 5, 2026. A Sableye event is also currently running in the game.
