Seven Seas Adds Beastmen BL, Time-Loop Romance, Cyberpunk Fantasy and Cat Manga to Its Lineup

Seven Seas Entertainment has announced another chunky licensing wave, and this one is nicely spread across BL manga, cosy cat stories, sci-fi fantasy, isekai audiobooks, and a time-loop rom-com.

For Malaysian and SEA readers, this matters because Seven Seas remains one of the main English-language publishers that local fans actually buy from — whether through Kinokuniya, Amazon, Book Depository-style alternatives, Shopee import sellers, or digital storefronts. If you prefer official English releases instead of waiting for fan chatter to settle, this is the kind of slate worth bookmarking early.

New manga coming in 2027

The biggest BL title in the announcement is Pendulum: The Beastmen Omegaverse Saga by Hana Hasumi, scheduled for March 2027 under Seven Seas' BL label. The story follows Kai, a human omega abandoned by his parents, who is taken in by Luard, a wolf beastman from the powerful Siegfried family. As Kai grows up in that household, he learns that beastmen need human omegas to have children — and his feelings for Luard become more complicated as Luard starts pulling away.

Also arriving in March 2027 under the BL label is Rico Sakura's Good Night, My Little Bird. This one mixes romance with a softer fantasy setup: Shu, a human servant, works at the estate of Rai, a shy winged man. Their relationship starts to shift after Shu sees Rai crying in his sleep, and things get even messier when Rai decides to raise an abandoned winged baby — but only if Shu helps.

For something lighter, Seven Seas has picked up Oki Eiko's The Cat Who Didn't Believe in “What-ifs”, releasing in April 2027. It follows two house cats, Mame and Kuro, whose owner constantly worries about unlikely disaster scenarios involving her pets. The manga turns those worries into cute, imaginative adventures. Cat manga fans, this one sounds like proper kopi-time comfort reading.

KNOTS' The Tomorrow I Want to See with Kako: A Time-Loop Romantic Comedy is also on the list. Seven Seas' press release lists it for January 2027, while its X/Twitter post says March 2027, so the final release timing may need watching. The setup is simple but promising: high schooler Asakura Asaki is trapped repeating the same day, then meets Sugiyuki Kako, a girl who also remembers the loop — but refuses to help him escape.

Light novels for cyberpunk and fantasy readers

On the Airship light novel side, Goetia Shock by Dokuzu Kento, with art by Nekosuke Ookuma, is planned for February 2027. It stars Alicia Arkwright, a hacker known as the Cyber-Brain Wizard, in a corporate-controlled world. Her missing-person case leads her into an artificial island district of artists, where the job quickly becomes more dangerous than expected.

Then in March 2027, Seven Seas will release Wandmaker of the Ruined World by Hagane Kurodome, illustrated by Kayahara. The premise is very “technology dies, magic wakes up”: after a global blackout destroys modern electricity, mountain inventor Ori Kenshi discovers that meteors have brought magic into the world. His handmade wand might be what keeps him alive as society falls apart.

Audiobooks arriving sooner

Seven Seas' Siren imprint is also adding audiobooks. A Good Day Starts with Cats and Books launches on June 18, narrated by Eddy Lee and Sara Matsui-Colby. It is set in a cosy Shinjuku share bookstore called Frère, where different shelf owners curate their own books and customers connect through reading — plus cats, of course.

Meanwhile, Magic User: Reborn in Another World as a Max Level Wizard arrives as an audiobook on June 25, narrated by John Patneaude. The story follows a salaryman reborn as Geo Margilus, his max-level tabletop RPG wizard, in a fantasy world full of demons and danger.

Overall, this is a very Seven Seas-style batch: niche, genre-heavy, and clearly aimed at collectors who know exactly what flavour they want. For SEA fans, the practical move is simple — keep an eye on pre-orders, because BL and cosy manga titles can get surprisingly annoying to find locally once the first wave sells out.
