Seven Seas Adds New Isekai, Fantasy Manga, BL, and YOASOBI Story Collection

Seven Seas Entertainment has revealed a fresh batch of English-language licenses, and this round is very much for the readers who love long isekai titles, fantasy drama, and the occasional “wait, this premise is wild” manga pickup.

For Malaysian and SEA fans, this matters because Seven Seas releases are usually among the easier English manga and light novel editions to track through import-friendly bookstores, online shops, and collectors’ circles. No local availability has been confirmed here, but if you usually buy English volumes instead of waiting on fan chatter or digital buzz, these are the titles to keep on your 2027 radar.

The most attention-grabbing pickup is I Became a Necromancer After Beating Up My Angel Guide and Accidentally Triggered the Apocalypse. Seven Seas has licensed both the light novel version by Elise with art by Gawako, and the manga version by Elise, Dekairuka, and Gawako. Volume 1 for both formats is scheduled for February 2027.

The story follows Linne, who thinks she is simply playing the new VRMMO Meltis Online. After she ignores the expected route and punches her angel guide, she unlocks a hidden event, becomes a Necromancer, starts collecting monster allies, and somehow ends up building a party dangerous enough to threaten the whole world. Basically, one bad tutorial decision turns into apocalypse speedrun energy.

Also coming in February 2027 is the light novel In Another World with My Cat: A Software Engineer Uses Code to Master Magic and Build a Territory, from Page and Mataichi Mataro. This one is about Matsumoto Yuu and his cat Orihime, who are transported into another world. Yuu’s systems engineer background helps him create useful tools for managing his new domain, while Orihime gains powers of her own. For SEA readers who enjoy the “tech brain in fantasy world” subgenre, this sounds like a cosy but nerdy isekai hook.

Seven Seas is also adding the Magic Maker: How to Create Magic in Another World audiobook under its Siren imprint. Volume 1, from Kazuki Kaburagi and Kururi, launches on May 28. The story centres on Shion, who is reborn expecting magic, only to discover the world may not have any — until his sister Marie leads him to a mysterious pond with magical potential.

On the manga side, Kidnapped by Elves, I Went from Potion Factory Alchemist to Accidental Hero by Kazuki Toda and Futsunonichan is planned for January 2027. It follows Jurius Kaiser, a court mage who gets demoted into harsh alchemy work before two elf girls drag him into a new adventure.

Another fantasy title, The Apothecary is Gonna Make This Ragged Elf Happy, arrives in March 2027. Created by Kyō Ayasaka, Shingi Hosokawa, and Gibachan, it follows an apothecary who discovers that a so-called rare ingredient is actually a badly injured elf. Instead of exploiting her, he decides to heal and protect her. Seven Seas notes that the series began as a fan-favourite webcomic before becoming a full-length story.

For BL readers, Sworn Brothers on the Farm by HABO is coming under the Seven Seas BL Label in February 2027. The setup is charmingly odd: a former host club star and an ex-yakuza member try to restart their lives as tomato farmers, while romance slowly grows between them.

Finally, music fans get Into the Night - YOASOBI Stories Collection, a one-volume light novel release set for January 2027. The collection features short stories that inspired YOASOBI songs including “Into the Night” / “Yoru ni Kakeru,” “Tracing a Dream,” “Probably,” “Encore,” and “Halzion,” with illustrations from the music video artists that were previously tied to Japanese special and limited editions.
