Sonic 35th Anniversary Crocs Are Dropping Next Week

Sonic fans, your next pair of convention slippers might already be decided.

Crocs and Sega are teaming up again for another Sonic the Hedgehog collection, this time tied to the blue blur’s 35th anniversary. The new drop is set to launch on May 19, 2026, but there is one important catch: it will be sold only through Journeys.

For Malaysian and SEA fans, that means this probably will not be a simple “walk into the mall and buy” situation unless regional retailers announce something later. If you are the type who collects gaming merch, wears loud clogs to anime events, or just wants something comfortable for long convention days, you may need to watch import options, forwarding services, or reseller listings once the drop goes live.

What’s in the Sonic x Crocs 35th anniversary collection?

Photos of the new designs are not available yet, so we are still waiting to see the final look. What has been shared so far is that the collection will use the classic Crocs clog shape and will come in adult, kid, and toddler sizes. All versions are listed as unisex.

The design reportedly features Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles across the front of the shoe. Each pair will also include themed Jibbitz charms: a Chaos Emerald on the left shoe and a Gold Ring on the right.

Pricing is confirmed in USD:

  • Toddler sizes: US$49.99
  • Kid sizes: US$54.99
  • Adult sizes: US$69.99

For Malaysia, the adult pair works out to roughly the RM300+ range before shipping, tax, forwarding fees, or reseller markup. So yeah, not exactly pasar malam pricing, but pretty normal for licensed collab Crocs.

New Sonic Jibbitz packs are coming too

Besides the clogs, Crocs will also release two new Sonic Jibbitz charm packs. Each pack costs US$16.99 and includes five charms.

One pack is described as a “faces” bundle, which likely means character face charms such as Sonic and Tails. Details for the second pack are still unclear, so it could focus on series items, enemies, or full character designs. Until Crocs or Journeys shows official images, we are basically waiting for the reveal.

For collectors, the Jibbitz packs might be the more affordable way to get in on the collab, especially if importing the shoes becomes too painful. Stick them on your existing Crocs and you still get the Sonic drip without paying full shoe money.

Why SEA fans should care

Sonic has always had that old-school console mascot energy, but in SEA, the character also fits nicely into the current wave of gaming and anime-adjacent fashion. We are seeing more fans treat merch as daily wear, not just display shelf material. Crocs are already popular because they are practical for humid weather, quick errands, campuses, and long event days.

That makes this collab pretty easy to understand. It is not just another figure or acrylic stand. It is wearable fandom. You can actually use it at Comic Fiesta, Animangaki, esports watch parties, or even just lepak downstairs.

Crocs has also been busy with pop culture collaborations in 2026. Earlier in the year, a One Piece Crocs collection appeared, and there have also been Pokemon tie-ins. Sonic joining that lineup keeps the gaming/anime merch crossover train moving.
