Takara Shimai Ends in Japan as Jackpot Sisters Hits Manga UP! in English

Haru Hisakawa’s Takara Shimai has officially reached its ending in Japan, and at the same time, English-reading fans now have a cleaner way to jump in.

The final chapter of the manga was published in the 11th issue of Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine, which went out on Friday. For readers tracking the series from its magazine run, that closes the book on a title that only began in January 2025 — so this is a fairly tight, compact run rather than one of those manga you need 40 volumes and a spreadsheet to catch up with.

The extra good news: Manga UP! Global announced on Sunday that it has added the series to its English-language service under the title Jackpot Sisters.

For Malaysia and SEA manga fans, this is the kind of update that matters more than it looks. A lot of Square Enix-linked manga can feel slightly harder to follow officially if you are not reading Japanese magazines or tracking physical volume releases. Having the English version appear on Manga UP! Global means fans who prefer official digital reading have a more direct entry point, especially if they are already using the platform for other Square Enix titles.

Final Volume Arrives This July

The Japanese collected release is also already mapped out. The manga’s second volume shipped on December 25, while the third and final volume is scheduled to ship on July 24.

That confirms Takara Shimai / Jackpot Sisters as a three-volume manga, which honestly makes it pretty approachable. For readers here who already have anime watchlists, gacha dailies, seasonal shows, and maybe a Steam backlog screaming for attention, a short manga run can be a blessing. No massive commitment, no need to wait years to see whether the story actually concludes.

It also means collectors who prefer physical Japanese volumes know exactly what they are dealing with: three books, done. Meanwhile, English readers can start following the official digital release without wondering whether the source material is still ongoing.

Haru Hisakawa Also Created Cat Massage Therapy

Hisakawa may also be familiar to some readers through Cat Massage Therapy, known in Japanese as Neko no Massageya-san. That manga launched in Overlap’s Comic Qurie web manga magazine in 2019, and Overlap released its third and final volume in April 2020.

The series later received an English release from Seven Seas Entertainment, which published it in full color.

That background is worth noting because it gives English-language fans a previous Hisakawa work to check out while waiting for more of Jackpot Sisters to roll out. If you are the type who follows creators rather than just anime adaptations, this is a nice little rabbit hole.

Why SEA Fans Should Keep an Eye on It

Not every manga news item needs to be some huge franchise announcement, bro. Sometimes the useful update is simply: a manga has ended, the final volume is dated, and there is an official English route available.

For Malaysian readers especially, where a lot of manga discovery happens through apps, social feeds, bookstore imports, and recommendations in Discord or Telegram groups, clarity helps. Jackpot Sisters is now easier to search for in English, and because the Japanese run is already finished, readers can go in knowing it is not an endless commitment.

If you like checking out shorter manga before they potentially gain more attention later, this one is now officially on the radar.
