WEBTOON and Warner Bros. Animation Line Up Four More Series for Adaptation

WEBTOON fans, the adaptation pipeline is getting busier. WEBTOON Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation have added four more series to their animated development slate, pushing the partnership deeper into fantasy, romance, comedy, and action territory.

The newly announced titles are The Wolf & Red Riding Hood by XUANN, Vampire Family by unfins, Sable Curse by Little Melon, and Snow and Briar (And The Mirror of Seven Sins) by M. Nires. The reveal happened at Web Summit Vancouver 2026, where WEBTOON Entertainment CFO David J. Lee and Warner Bros. Animation president Sam Register shared the update.

For Malaysian and SEA fans, this is worth watching because WEBTOON-to-animation projects are becoming a real lane now, not just random one-off adaptations. A lot of us already consume webcomics on mobile during commute, class breaks, or late-night scroll sessions. If these projects actually make it to major streaming platforms later, they could become the next easy group-watch picks for anime and manhwa fans here.

The four new series join a larger slate that WEBTOON and Warner Bros. Animation first announced in 2025. That earlier batch already included Down to Earth, The Stellar Swordmaster, and Hardcore Leveling Warrior.

Here’s the quick breakdown:

The Wolf & Red Riding Hood

XUANN’s series follows Anna, a high school student whose life gets weird fast after she starts becoming unusually hairy, powerful, and obsessed with meat. Then come the ears and tail. Basically, she has to figure out what is happening before the full moon turns things even messier.

Vampire Family

By unfins, this one centres on Natalia, a vampire who just wants a normal school life. Her plan is to make friends with her seatmate Evangelo, but as expected, the human world is not so simple — and Evangelo may not be as ordinary as he looks.

Sable Curse

Little Melon’s Sable Curse has a darker fantasy hook. Terron is living under a curse that will kill her at 19 unless she can break it. When her family hides away at a magical estate, she starts uncovering secrets among the rich guests that might help her survive.

Snow and Briar (And The Mirror of Seven Sins)

M. Nires flips the fairy-tale setup with Prince Snow, a famously beautiful royal who gets married off to Princess Briar by a stepmother who wants him out of the way. The big question is whether Briar is simply obsessed with him like everyone else, or hiding something much deeper.

Right now, all four titles are still only in development. That means no release dates, no trailers, and no confirmed platforms yet. So jangan get too excited until we see actual production updates — but the lineup itself is promising.

WEBTOON has already seen its titles move into screen adaptations across platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, and Crunchyroll. Warner Bros. Animation, meanwhile, continues to build around major franchises like DC and Looney Tunes, while also exploring more projects beyond the usual legacy brands.

If this slate lands properly, it could give WEBTOON readers in Malaysia and SEA more animated series that feel closer to the stories they already follow online — mobile-first, genre-heavy, and easy to binge.
