Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 has dropped the preview details for Episode 5, which is Episode 17 overall for the anime. The new episode is titled “The Day of Departure” and is scheduled to premiere on May 10, with Crunchyroll streaming the series worldwide.

After the action-heavy Devander incident, the story is moving into graduation territory — which, in Wistoria terms, is not just some happy school ceremony. The anime adapts the manga written by Fujino Omori, also known for Danmachi, with art by Toshi Aoi. The manga has been running in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine since December 9, 2020, and currently has 15 published volumes. It also crossed 3 million copies in circulation in February 2026. The core story follows Will Serfort, a magic academy student who cannot use magic but still dreams of becoming a Magia Vander, one of the elite mages at the top of the world. His goal is tied to reuniting with his childhood friend Elfaria, and the series keeps testing whether pure effort, skill, and stubbornness can break through a system obsessed with magical talent.
