Yomi no Tsugai Adds More Supporting Voices for Its Spring 2026 Anime Run

The Yomi no Tsugai TV anime, also known in English as Daemons of the Shadow Realm, has added more names to its supporting cast — and yes, for fans tracking the Spring 2026 season, this one is worth keeping on your radar.

According to the anime’s official X account, the latest supporting cast additions include:

  • Shinichiro Miki as Ivan Yosano
  • Reina Kondou as Makoto Tachikawa
  • Hayata Ookawa as Kenichi Hamura

Miki is a particularly familiar name for long-time anime fans, with credits including Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. That connection will definitely make people perk up, because Yomi no Tsugai itself comes from Hiromu Arakawa, the manga creator behind one of the most important shounen/fantasy series ever. No pressure, kan?

The anime adapts Arakawa’s action fantasy manga and started airing in Japan on April 4 at 11:30 p.m., with broadcasts on Tokyo MX, BS11, and other Japanese stations.

For Malaysian and SEA anime fans, the big reason to care is simple: Arakawa’s name still carries serious weight. Even if you are not watching every Spring 2026 show weekly, anything tied to the creator of Fullmetal Alchemist automatically becomes part of the seasonal conversation. It is the kind of title that anime group chats will at least sample, especially if the adaptation keeps building out its cast with recognisable voices.

Supporting cast reveals may not sound as flashy as a new trailer or theme song drop, but they matter a lot for fantasy anime. Shows like this usually rely on a larger world, multiple factions, and side characters who either deepen the lore or completely change the direction of the story. A strong supporting lineup can make the difference between a fantasy series that feels empty and one that feels properly alive.

The timing also helps. With the anime already airing, this announcement gives current viewers another reason to pay attention to upcoming episodes. If you are the type who waits a few weeks before deciding what to binge, this is another signal that Yomi no Tsugai is continuing to roll out its world instead of just coasting on Arakawa’s reputation.

For now, there is no extra SEA-specific release detail in this update, so Malaysian viewers will need to keep an eye on their usual anime platforms and community trackers. But as far as Spring 2026 fantasy titles go, Yomi no Tsugai is one of those shows where the creator pedigree, action fantasy setup, and expanding voice cast make it hard to ignore.
