CDawgVA wraps Cyclethon 5 with nearly $1.5 million raised for charity
CDawgVA has officially finished Cyclethon 5, and this year’s charity ride ended with a huge number on the board: more than $1.47 million raised for the Immune Deficiency Foundation.
By the time the event wrapped, total donations were sitting at $1,470,000, making it another massive result for what has become one of Twitch’s most recognisable annual charity events. The money will go toward supporting people living with primary immunodeficiencies.
For this year’s edition, Connor once again spent 15 days cycling across Japan while livestreaming the whole journey. Like past runs, the event mixed pure endurance with creator energy, as he was joined by returning collaborators including Chris Broad, plus a rotating lineup of guests throughout the ride.
What makes Cyclethon hit different is that it is not just a one-off challenge anymore. It has grown into a proper yearly fundraising fixture.
Here’s how the event has scaled over time:
- 2022: Cyclethon started with a charity ride across Hokkaido, raising more than $300,000
- 2023: the total climbed to over $550,000
- Later editions pushed past the $1 million mark
- 2025’s Cyclethon 4: raised $1,069,561
- 2026’s Cyclethon 5: closed at $1.47 million
That kind of growth is wild, and it also means Connor’s total fundraising from all Cyclethon events has now gone past $5 million overall.
A big reason the fundraiser has resonated so strongly over the years is its connection to Ironmouse. Connor’s long-running friendship with her has been closely tied to support for the foundation, with her own experience living with immune deficiency helping inspire the cause behind the event.
For Malaysian and wider SEA audiences, this is the part that stands out. We spend a lot of time talking about creator culture as entertainment, whether it is Twitch streams, YouTube travel content, or collab chaos clips on social media. Cyclethon is a reminder that creator events can also turn that attention into something genuinely meaningful when the community buys in.
It also helps that this is an Asia-based event. A creator cycling across Japan while streaming the whole thing feels a lot closer to home for SEA viewers than another US-only fundraiser. The setting, the travel content, and the guest appearances give it a broader appeal beyond just Connor’s core fanbase.
Connor’s finish also came during a stacked weekend for online fundraising. Over on the UK side, the 2026 Sidemen Charity Match reportedly brought in more than $8 million for Bright Side and M7 Education. So in the span of a single weekend, two major creator-led charity events delivered massive results.
That says a lot about where internet culture is right now. Big personalities are still the draw, sure, but audiences are also showing they will show up hard when there is a clear cause behind the content.
For CDawgVA, Cyclethon 5 is another huge milestone. For fans, it is proof that the event is no longer just a cool annual challenge, it is one of the biggest charity staples in the streaming space.
