Delta Force Season Echo brings Morse, a bigger Warfare battleground, and a Tomb Raider crossover
Delta Force is heading into its next big update with Season Echo, and this one has a clear identity from the start. The new season goes live on April 21, bringing a naval-flavoured operator, a larger Warfare map set around a port, updates for Operations, new weapons, and a Tomb Raider crossover.
For players in Malaysia and the wider SEA region, this looks like the kind of update that could matter beyond just cosmetics. Season Echo is adding more room for vehicle play, more ways to contest extracts, and a few systems that should shake up how squads approach both Warfare and Operations.
The headline addition is Morse, a new Recon operator with a kit built around sound and sonar. He is described as a former Navy acoustic intelligence specialist, and his abilities lean hard into information control and disruption.
Morse comes with:
- Throwable Jammer, which slows enemies in range and messes with their vision and hearing
- Delayed Flashbang, a flashbang that goes off on a timer
- Advanced Sonar Device, which repeatedly scans nearby space and marks enemies who make noise
- A passive that boosts hearing range in Operations, while in Warfare it automatically scans and marks nearby enemy devices
Even though he sits in the Recon role, Morse does not sound like a backline-only pick. His tools look built for helping a squad force its way forward, especially in tighter fights where vision denial and enemy detection can swing a push.
On the Warfare side, Season Echo introduces Akh Canal, a larger map with a mix of open ground, trenches, close-quarters spaces, and enough room for vehicles to matter. That mix should be interesting for SEA players who like switching between aggressive infantry fights and heavier combined-arms matches instead of being stuck in one style all night.
Akh Canal also has a battlefield event called port destruction. Once triggered, the port gets blown apart and the map opens up further, changing how both teams can move and fight. That kind of mid-match shift should help keep rounds from feeling too predictable.
Team Deathmatch is also getting a new mode called Overload. The idea is simple: as you get kills, you earn stars that unlock buffs. These include bonuses like health regeneration, faster reload speed, and even the ability to see enemies through walls. It sounds like a more arcade-style playlist, and probably one for players who want fast action instead of slower tactical pacing.
Operations players are getting meaningful map changes too, especially on Zero Dam. The elevator extraction now has multiple passages, which should make those last-second fights less one-dimensional if another team is already camping the area. Zero Dam is also gaining swimming, along with extra vegetation near the water so players can enter and exit with more cover.
There is a catch, though: hiding in that vegetation attracts birds, which reveal your position. That is a smart little anti-camping twist, and it should stop the new cover options from turning into free ambush zones.
Season Echo is also adding a new vault tied to the flagship task, plus parkour challenges across the map. On top of that, the collection room is getting improvements and more display items.
Weapon-wise, two guns are on the way: the AR-57 and the M82. The AR-57 is a modified assault rifle built from an AR-15 receiver with a top-mounted magazine. The M82 is the heavier hitter here, acting as a high-calibre sniper rifle. In Operations, getting hit by it can slow movement or increase the time needed to use a consumable. In Warfare, it can even function as a borderline anti-vehicle weapon.
Finally, Season Echo is also bringing in Lara Croft. The crossover includes a new Luna skin, a free AKM appearance, and Tomb Raider-themed collectibles throughout the season. The free AKM cosmetic will arrive a little later, on May 1.
Add in smaller improvements like being able to see your character's legs in first-person, and Season Echo looks like a fairly chunky update instead of a light seasonal refresh. For Delta Force players around SEA, especially those queueing with regular squads, this feels like the kind of patch that could genuinely freshen up both casual sessions and more serious team play.
