iPhone 20 Leak Points To Huge 6,000mAh Battery And Reverse Wireless Charging

Apple’s 20th anniversary iPhone is still far away, but the rumour mill already gila active. The latest leak claims the 2027 iPhone 20 could be one of the biggest design and hardware jumps Apple has attempted in years — including a massive 6,000mAh battery, reverse wireless charging, solid-state buttons, and a cleaner all-screen look.

The info comes from Weibo tipster Instant Digital, who posted a list of expected iPhone 20 features mixed with some speculation. So yes, don’t treat this as confirmed Apple gospel yet. But if even half of this lands, Malaysian iPhone users — especially mobile gamers and content creators — will definitely want to pay attention.

The big one: 6,000mAh battery

The headline feature here is the claimed 6,000mAh battery. For iPhone standards, that would be huge. Apple normally focuses more on efficiency than raw battery size, so a jump this big would be a serious statement.

For SEA users, this matters because our phone usage is brutal. Long commutes, hotspotting, Grab, WhatsApp, TikTok, Shopee, banking apps, plus mobile games like Mobile Legends, PUBG Mobile, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail — your battery kena whack every day. A bigger iPhone battery could mean fewer emergency power bank moments, especially during events, travel, campus days or esports watch parties.

The leak also mentions reverse wireless charging. That could let the iPhone top up accessories wirelessly, and potentially help in a pinch if you need to charge earbuds or another small device. Apple has not confirmed this, but it would finally bring a feature Android flagships have offered for years.

Solid-state buttons, even with wet hands?

Instant Digital also claims the iPhone 20 will use solid-state buttons instead of traditional moving buttons. The interesting part is not just the button design, but the claimed reliability testing. According to the leak, Apple has tested pressure recognition with gloves, wet hands, extreme temperatures, and through a case.

That last bit is important. In Malaysia, most people slap on a case immediately after buying a flagship phone because repairs are not cheap. If solid-state buttons only work nicely without a case, habis. But if Apple really solves that, it could feel more premium while still being practical.

The tipster also says an ultra-low-power chip may keep the buttons responsive even when the phone is powered off. That sounds very Apple — invisible tech that only matters when you actually need it.

Apple may be chasing the true all-screen iPhone

The iPhone 20 is also tipped to push more components under the display. The list includes under-display Face ID, an under-display front camera, and under-display sound to remove the usual earpiece gap.

If Apple pulls this off cleanly, the iPhone 20 could look like one uninterrupted slab of glass. The leak also mentions a dual-layer OLED screen and a quad-curved display using TFE, or Thin-Film Encapsulation, to help manage moisture around curved OLED areas.

But this part is not guaranteed. Another Weibo tipster, Fixed Focus Digital, reportedly said Apple has been facing issues moving some components beneath the display. If those problems are not solved in time, the iPhone 20 may still ship with a hole-punch selfie camera instead of a fully hidden one.

Expect premium pricing, especially in Malaysia

The leak also points to a scratch-resistant ceramic-style screen coating, though the exact name mentioned by the tipster appears to be their own wording rather than an official Apple label.

With all these upgrades — bigger battery, new buttons, under-display hardware, curved OLED and reverse wireless charging — the iPhone 20 is very unlikely to be cheap. For Malaysian buyers, that means the usual question: do you buy the anniversary model early, wait for telco bundles, or stick with an older Pro iPhone?

For now, this is still a 2027 device with plenty of room for plans to change. But the direction is clear: Apple may be preparing an anniversary iPhone that feels genuinely different, not just another camera bump refresh.
