Pragmata’s secret ending is a serious post-game grind, here’s what you need to do
If you thought finishing Pragmata once was enough to see everything, bro, not quite. The game’s secret ending is locked behind a pretty demanding cleanup run, and it looks like Capcom wants players to really master the post-game before handing over that extra scene.
For Malaysian and SEA players, this matters because a lot of us love squeezing full value out of a big single-player release, especially when hidden endings start getting spoiled all over TikTok, YouTube, and Discord. If you want to unlock it yourself instead of eating spoilers from the timeline, there’s a very specific checklist to clear.
First, you need to finish the game once
The secret ending path only opens after you clear Pragmata on any difficulty. That first completion unlocks Unknown Signal.
Important detail, jangan tersalah route here: once that option is available, you need to continue your existing playthrough. Starting a New Game Plus file does not count for unlocking this ending.
What you need to complete
To trigger the hidden ending, you’ll need to do all of the following:
- 100% the Solar Power Plant
- 100% the Mass Production Array
- 100% the Terra Dome
- 100% the Lunum Mines
- 100% the Central Port
- Clear every Hidden Chamber challenge
- Equip the Black Box mod
- Beat the upgraded version of Eight
That is already a lot, but there’s more tucked inside those requirements.
Hidden Chamber clears are a major gate
The Hidden Chamber challenges are especially important because they also lead to the MK-II versions of each sector boss. According to the guide, those upgraded bosses became available after four Hidden Chamber challenges were completed.
So if you’re wondering why the grind feels longer than a normal collect-everything run, that’s the reason. This is not just about cleaning up maps. It also expects you to handle tougher boss rematches and prove you’ve gone deep into the game’s optional content.
On top of that, the Black Box mod is one of the rewards tied to Hidden Chamber completion, and you need to have it equipped when taking down the upgraded Eight.
What you do not need to do
Thankfully, Pragmata does draw the line somewhere.
You do not need to:
- finish every training simulation
- collect every Mini Cabin figure
- fully upgrade every component
That’s good news for players who are okay with combat and exploration challenges, but don’t want to spend forever vacuuming up every side collectible in the game.
After beating Eight, keep going
Once upgraded Eight is down, the run still isn’t over. You need to push through the rest of the game again, including the dead filament boss on the Moon, then watch the ending sequence all the way through after the credits.
That final post-credits scene is where the secret ending payoff happens.
What the secret ending shows
Spoiler warning, obviously.
After the scene with Diana on the beach, the screen fades out. Then Cabin can be heard saying:
“Welcome back. What’s this? Traveling alone today?”
After that, players are shown an image of Hugh and Diana.
It’s a small payoff compared to the amount of work needed, but for completionists, lore hunters, and anyone already obsessed with Pragmata’s story, this is clearly the game’s real final breadcrumb.
For SEA players especially, the takeaway is simple: if you’re planning a full clear, make sure you stay on your continued save, not NG+, and be ready for a proper endgame checklist instead of a quick hidden-cutscene unlock.
