Honkai Star Rail Character Tier List 2026 — Every Character Ranked for the Current Meta
Last Updated: Invalid Date
Honkai Star Rail has been running for a while now and the roster is stacked — like, genuinely hard to keep track of who's actually good and who's just sitting in your inventory collecting Stellar Jade dust. With Version 2.7's Amphoreus arc in full swing and the game's combat getting increasingly complex, you need a real tier list — not a generic global one, but one that actually considers the content Malaysian players are grinding.
This is that tier list. Based on current endgame (Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction, Apocalyptic Shadow), with F2P recommendations and RM gacha costs so you know exactly what you're getting into before you pull.
Last updated: April 2026 (Version 2.7 — Amphoreus Arc)
How This Tier List Works
Characters are ranked based on performance in all three endgame modes — MoC (single-target boss), Pure Fiction (AoE wave clear), and Apocalyptic Shadow (break-focused). A character that only pops off in one mode drops in ranking. Universal performers rise.
Tier Definitions:
| Tier | What It Means | |------|--------------| | S | Meta-defining. Max investment justified. Pull if you can. | | A | Excellent. High value, competitive in all content. | | B | Solid performers. Work great in specific teams or niches. | | C | Functional with investment but outclassed. | | D | Avoid unless you love the character and skip meta entirely. |
S-Tier — The Meta
The Sunday (Imaginary Support)
Arguably the best support in the entire game right now. Sunday's Follow-Up enhanced Action Advance kit accelerates any Action Value-based carry into orbit. Pairs with Acheron, Argenti, Feixiao, and essentially any premium DPS. If you're only pulling one support, it's Sunday — full stop.
Acheron (Lightning DPS)
The signature carry of the Nihility archetype. Acheron enables entire team comps built around debuffs and stacks huge damage in MoC single-target phases. Still dominant in Version 2.7, still the lightning queen. Her signature LC (Along the Passing Shore) is borderline mandatory for max output but she's viable on a BiS budget set too.
Robin (Physical/Wind Support)
Universal buffer. Robin provides party-wide SPD bonus, Crit DMG amp, and a team-wide Action Advance on Follow-Up attacks. She makes every carry better. No team slot she occupies feels wasted. If you pulled her, you're set for the next year of content.
Feixiao (Wind DPS)
Follow-Up attack carry that absolutely rips through MoC. Feixiao scales insanely with Robin and Aventurine and her kit rewards aggressive action cycling. One of the few limited characters that performs well without her signature LC. Tier 1 investment priority for new players if they can get her.
Ruan Mei (Ice/Universal Support)
She's been S-tier since launch and nothing has changed. Ruan Mei's Break Efficiency, SPD buffs, and her Thanatoplum Rebloom synergy with Firefly and Rappa have kept her relevant through every patch. The best welfare/accessible support in the game. Get her from the Memory Store if you missed her banner.
Firefly (Fire Break DPS)
Break mechanic DPS that dominates Apocalyptic Shadow. In the right team (Ruan Mei + Gallagher + Harmony Trailblazer), Firefly clears Apocalyptic Shadow like it owes her money. Slightly niche compared to pure carry options but if you run AS content, she's irreplaceable.
A-Tier — Top Value
Himeko (Fire DPS)
Pure Fiction queen. Himeko's AoE output is unmatched in wave-clear content, and with Robin or Tingyun she absolutely shreds Remembrance floors. She's free-to-start adjacent with solid base kit performance. Underrated by a lot of tier lists that only rank on MoC performance.
Jade (Fire Follow-Up Support/DPS Hybrid)
Jade's role in Feixiao teams and hypercarry comps is underrated. She generates excess energy, stacks her passives organically in multi-wave fights, and deals respectable damage of her own. A-tier with the right partners, approaches S in niche PF setups.
Lingsha (Fire/Quantum Sustain)
The best healer for break teams. Lingsha synergises beautifully with Firefly and Ruan Mei — she heals, breaks, and generates Break procs for the team. If you run a break comp, Lingsha is the healer you want.
Aventurine (Imaginary Sustain)
Shield meta is alive and well. Aventurine's team-wide shields give buffer for Follow-Up DPS carries (especially Feixiao) and his personal damage is genuinely respectable. The premium choice for any FUA team.
Boothill (Fire Break DPS)
Single-target break specialist who hits ridiculously hard against bosses with the right setup. Boothill + Ruan Mei + Harmony MC is one of the most accessible top-tier teams in the game. A bit niche against multi-wave content but his boss damage is elite.
Dr. Ratio (Imaginary DPS)
Still an excellent non-limited 5-star option for players who don't have Feixiao. He's slightly outclassed now but remains an A-tier FUA carry who can be acquired through the Starlight Exchange. Great investment for F2P players.
Huohuo (Wind Sustain)
The universal healer. Huohuo provides SPD, energy recharge, and solid healing in one slot. She's been A-tier since launch and remains the most flexible sustain unit in the roster. Any team that doesn't need shields runs Huohuo.
Sparkle (Quantum Support)
Sparkle is Seele and Qingque's best partner but she's fallen slightly from her peak with the rise of Sunday. Still an excellent SP-positive support who enables aggressive cycling for skill-heavy carries. A-tier, approaching S in Seele teams specifically.
Gallagher (Fire Sustain/Break)
The best F2P-accessible sustain unit for break teams. 4-star, farmable, and genuinely A-tier in Firefly and Boothill comps. If you don't have Lingsha, Gallagher is the move.
B-Tier — Solid but Situational
Herta — Pure Fiction powerhouse but struggles outside of that mode. Great in PF, mediocre elsewhere. Still worth investing if PF is your priority score mode.
Argenti — Massive Pure Fiction numbers with Sunday or Robin. A bit one-dimensional but excellent at what he does. Fun to pilot.
Kafka + Black Swan (Duo) — The DoT archetype pair. Both are B-tier individually but A/S together. If you have both, DoT comps remain viable in MoC. If you only have one, the performance falls significantly.
Yunli — Counter DPS who hits hard but needs a dedicated sustain and support setup to shine. A bit fragile without the premium investment.
Trailblazer (Harmony) — The break MC. Essential in any break comp as a 4-piece Talia: Kingdom of Banditry bot. S-tier utility in the right setup, B-tier in anything else. You have them for free — invest the traces.
Pela — Best 4-star support for Acheron teams. DEF shred, energy generation, free to obtain. Essential if you run Nihility comps.
Tingyun — Energy recharge buffer for skill-heavy carries. Slightly power crept by Sunday but still the best F2P energy support. Max her traces, she's worth it.
Gepard — Premium shield sustain for non-Aventurine players. Scales well, provides team-wide shields. Lower tier than Aventurine but still solid for endgame.
Bronya — The OG SPD and DMG buffer. She's power crept in most comps by Sunday and Robin but remains effective in Remembrance and specific hypercarry setups. If you have her from launch, keep her traces invested.
C-Tier — Functional With Caveats
Seele — The original queen is C-tier in 2026. Power crept hard by Feixiao and newer carries. Still fun, still viable for casual content, but can't compete in endgame without heavy premium support. If you love her, play her — but don't pull hoping for MoC clear.
Bailu — Healer that's been replaced by Huohuo, Lingsha, and Gallagher in most comps. Her self-revive is occasionally useful but her overall kit is outdated.
Clara — Counter DPS who needs too much setup for current endgame pacing. Yunli does what Clara does better in most scenarios.
Welt — Niche Nihility support who works in Acheron teams but doesn't have Sunday's ceiling. Okay if you have him, not worth chasing.
Trailblazer (Fire) — The fire MC is rarely the right choice with Harmony and Remembrance MC both outperforming in applicable content.
Sampo — DoT enabler who's only relevant if you're running a full Kafka/Black Swan/DoT team. Falls off without the duo.
D-Tier — Skip
Arlan, Hook, Qingque (standalone), Serval — Base game 4-stars that have been power crept out of endgame relevance. Serval has some PF utility but honestly just farm their traces for the achievement and move on.
Trailblazer (Physical) — Completely obsolete. The base physical MC has been replaced by every subsequent Trailblazer path.

RM Gacha Cost Breakdown (Malaysia)
Being real about the numbers because no other site will:
| Purchase | RM Price (Approximate) | Pulls | |----------|----------------------|-------| | 60 Oneiric Shards | ~RM7–8 | ~1 pull | | 300 Oneiric Shards | ~RM35 | ~5 pulls | | 980 Oneiric Shards | ~RM115 | ~16 pulls | | 1,980 Oneiric Shards | ~RM230 | ~33 pulls | | 3,280 Oneiric Shards | ~RM380 | ~55 pulls | | 6,480 Oneiric Shards | ~RM750 | ~108 pulls | | Express Supply Pass | ~RM18/month | ~2 pulls/day | | Nameless Honor (BP) | ~RM48/month | Extra Jade + mats |
Soft pity starts at 74 pulls, hard pity at 90. With standard 50/50 odds, budget around 160–180 pulls (~RM800–900 from scratch) to guarantee any limited 5-star if you lose 50/50.
Save with Shopee/Lazada: Oneiric Shard bundles frequently appear on platforms at 5–10% cashback. Stack with ShopeePay vouchers for best value. Never buy the smallest bundle — RM115 for 980 is far better value per pull than RM7 for 60.
Best Teams for April 2026 Meta
Feixiao FUA Carry
- Feixiao + Robin + Aventurine + Topaz or Jade
- The #1 MoC team right now. Expensive but every slot is available on reruns.
Acheron Nihility
- Acheron + Pela + Jiaoqiu or Black Swan + Aventurine or Huohuo
- More accessible. Pela and Huohuo are obtainable without banner pulls.
Firefly Break
- Firefly + Ruan Mei + Harmony Trailblazer + Lingsha or Gallagher
- Best Apocalyptic Shadow team. Ruan Mei is in Memory Store. Gallagher is free. Half the team costs zero Stellar Jade.
Himeko Pure Fiction Blast
- Himeko + Robin or Tingyun + Herta + Sustain
- Budget PF carry team. Himeko is on-banner occasionally and Herta is farmable via Memory Store.
Who Should You Pull Right Now? (April 2026)
If you're a new player: Save for Robin rerun or Ruan Mei Memory Store. These two improve every future team you build.
If you have Feixiao: Get Sunday on his next appearance. The Feixiao + Sunday + Robin FUA team is end-of-era stuff.
If you run Acheron: Jiaoqiu is the premium upgrade over Pela. Worth the investment if you're MoC-focused.
If you're F2P: Don't panic pull. Harmony Trailblazer + Gallagher + Pela + Tingyun are free/earnable and carry you through most content without premium 5-stars.
Closing Take
Honkai Star Rail's meta in 2026 is honestly one of the most team-comp-driven it's ever been. It's not about having every S-tier — it's about having the right pairs. Robin makes Feixiao broken. Ruan Mei makes Firefly broken. Sunday makes everything better. If you can build one complete meta team, you can clear everything.
The game is generous enough for F2P players to stay competitive — just don't try to build six different archetypes simultaneously. Pick your carry, build their best supports, and enjoy Amphoreus. The story is genuinely fire right now.
