PS5 Days of Play Deals: Best Games, Controllers And Gear To Watch This Week

Sony’s State of Play may have grabbed attention with future game reveals, but if your PS5 backlog is looking kosong, the more immediate news is this: Days of Play discounts are still running until June 10.

According to GameSpot’s latest roundup, a bunch of PS5 games and accessories are currently cheaper across the PlayStation Store, Amazon and Best Buy, with some physical copies being price-matched against digital deals. For Malaysian and SEA players, the exact prices will depend on local PS Store pricing, import costs and retailer promos, but the US discounts are a useful benchmark if you’re hunting for value.

The less exciting part? Console deals are still weak. Sony’s PS5 price hikes have made proper console discounts harder to find, so don’t expect crazy hardware drops for now. If you already own a PS5, though, this sale is more interesting for games, controllers and audio gear.

Big PS5 Game Discounts

One of the standout cuts is Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut at US$30 instead of US$70, which is roughly RM140-ish before taxes or platform differences. That gets you the main game, Iki Island expansion and Legends multiplayer. If you somehow skipped Jin Sakai’s samurai revenge tour, this is the kind of open-world game that makes sense for long weekend grinding.

God of War Ragnarok is also down to US$29 from US$70. GameSpot notes renewed interest around the franchise following the reveal of God of War Laufey, and Ragnarok looks like required homework if you care about the story. For Malaysian players who usually wait for deep discounts, this is a strong “finally buy” price.

Racing fans can look at Gran Turismo 7, also at US$29 from US$70 on Amazon. It remains one of PS5’s cleanest-looking racing showcases, with fast loading and plenty of solo content. Since Forza Horizon still isn’t a PlayStation option, GT7 is basically the go-to if you want that polished car culture fix on Sony’s console.

Other notable game deals include Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Gold Edition at US$20, Diablo 4 at US$34, and Astro Bot at US$39. Diablo 4 is especially worth watching because its latest season has brought major ARPG changes, including a new leveling system that gives builds more flexibility. Just note that the Lord of Hatred expansion is not included in that base-game price.

Football kaki may also want to check EA Sports FC 26 at US$46, especially with World Cup hype building. MLB The Show 26 is listed at US$49 too, though baseball is obviously more niche for our region.

Accessories Are The Better Hardware Deals

If you’re not buying a console, accessories are where the sale gets more tempting.

The PlayStation VR2 headset is listed at US$299 instead of US$399. It still needs a PS5 to run, unlike standalone headsets such as Meta Quest, but the bundle includes Sense controllers, a charging cable and stereo headphones. With 4K support and a 110-degree field of view, it remains one of the more premium VR setups available.

DualSense controllers are also cheaper. The standard white PlayStation DualSense is US$55, while the more advanced DualSense Edge is US$170. For players in Malaysia, this matters because extra controllers are usually not cheap locally, especially if you want a second pad for FIFA nights, couch co-op or fighting games.

On the audio side, GameSpot highlights the Sony Inzone H9 Gaming Headset at US$198 from US$330. It works with both PC and PS5, supports 360-degree spatial sound and includes noise-cancelling features. The Sony Pulse Explore Earbuds are also on sale at US$150, with PS5, PC, Mac and PS Portal support, plus simultaneous connections so you can game while still taking calls or listening from your phone.

Bottom line: console buyers may not find much joy this week, but existing PS5 owners have plenty to consider before Days of Play ends on June 10. For SEA players, check your Malaysian PS Store and trusted local retailers before importing anything — shipping and taxes can easily wipe out the “deal” part.
