AMD has pushed out Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 26.5.2 WHQL, arriving just over a week after the 26.5.1 driver landed on May 6. For Malaysian PC gamers running Radeon cards, this is one of those updates worth checking before your next big game install.
The headline feature is day-one support for Forza Horizon 6 and 007 First Light. If either game is on your radar, especially for high-refresh 1080p or 1440p gaming, updating early makes sense. GPU drivers are RM0, but they can save you from the kind of launch-day stutter or weird crash that ruins a weekend gaming session.
What AMD Fixed in 26.5.2
This release mainly targets issues on Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards.
AMD says the new driver resolves problems where RoadCraft could crash or trigger a driver timeout. That matters because driver timeouts are not just annoying — they can kick you back to desktop mid-session and sometimes make Windows feel like the whole GPU gave up.
The update also fixes visual corruption in Satisfactory on Radeon RX 9000 cards. For a game built around factory layouts, clean visuals and readability, graphical glitches are extra irritating. If you are deep into a mega-factory build, this is probably the main reason to update.
Known Issues Still Not Settled
The not-so-fun part: AMD’s known issue list is still carrying several items.
Battlefield 6 remains a problem area. AMD notes that crashes or driver timeouts may still happen on systems using the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, and it is working with the game developer on a fix. Some AMD graphics products may also show texture flickering or corruption when using AMD Record and Stream in Battlefield 6.
There is also an FSR-related reporting issue. On Radeon RX 9000 series cards, AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition may show AMD FSR Upscaling and AMD FSR Frame Generation as inactive in Battlefield 6 even when they are enabled.
For creators and 3D users, Blender instability is still listed for Radeon RX 7000 series and newer GPUs. AMD recommends affected users roll back to Adrenalin Edition 26.3.1.
That same rollback advice applies if you are seeing crashes in Subnautica 2 or Marvel Rivals on Radeon RX 9000 products.
Should Malaysian Gamers Update?
If you are playing RoadCraft, Satisfactory, Forza Horizon 6, or 007 First Light, yes — this driver is worth installing.
If your PC is stable and you mainly play Battlefield 6, Marvel Rivals, Subnautica 2, or use Blender heavily, proceed with a bit more caution. The safest move is to note your current driver version before updating, so you can roll back if your setup starts acting sus.
For local PC builders, especially those eyeing new Radeon builds from Low Yat, Shopee, Lazada, or custom shops around Malaysia, this update is another reminder that GPU value is not only about raw FPS. Driver stability matters, especially when you are spending serious money on a new rig.
Bottom line: Adrenalin 26.5.2 is a useful update, not a magical fix-all. RX 9000 users get some important clean-up, new games get launch support, but AMD still has work to do on Battlefield 6, Blender, Subnautica 2, and Marvel Rivals.
