Beats Solo 4 Drops Back to Its Best 2026 Price

The Beats Solo 4 is back down to one of its most tempting prices of the year, with The Verge reporting that the wireless headphones are now going for around US$129.95, or US$70 off, at Amazon, Best Buy, and Target.

For Malaysian buyers watching US deals, that works out to roughly the RM600-ish range before shipping, taxes, and exchange-rate pain. Not exactly impulse-buy cheap, but for a pair of Apple-made wireless headphones that do not completely ignore Android users, this is a deal worth watching — especially if local reseller pricing stays higher.

The discount applies to the black, light pink, and blue versions across the listed retailers. Target also has more colour options on offer, including gold.

Why the Solo 4 still matters

The interesting thing about the Beats Solo 4 is that it sits in a nice middle ground. It is under the Apple umbrella, but it is not as locked into the iPhone ecosystem as AirPods can feel sometimes. The headphones support native features on both iOS and Android, including Apple Find My and Google Find Hub, which is genuinely useful if you are the type who always forgets where your headset went after a mamak session or LAN night.

Android users also get conveniences like automatic device switching, while iPhone users get the extra perk of head-tracking spatial audio. So yes, Apple users still get the flashier feature, but Android users are not treated like second-class citizens here.

Audio-wise, the Solo 4 supports lossless listening through the included USB-C or 3.5mm cable. That is a nice bonus if you still care about wired audio quality, or if you want to plug into a laptop, handheld gaming PC, or airplane entertainment system without relying on Bluetooth.

Battery life is another strong point. The Verge notes that the Solo 4 can run for nearly two full days on a charge, and if the battery dies, you can keep listening in wired mode. That is the kind of practical feature that matters for SEA travel — KL to Bangkok, Singapore trips, long bus rides, airport delays, all that real-life chaos.

The big missing feature is active noise cancellation. That might be a dealbreaker if you commute daily on noisy trains or flights. Still, the memory foam ear cups offer some passive isolation, which should help cut down background noise a bit.

Also on sale: travel adapter, smart thermostat, turntable

The same Verge roundup also highlights Anker’s Nano Travel Adapter, now at US$19.99 from Amazon and Anker with code WS7DV27RA6GU. It includes interchangeable plug types A, C, G, and I, covering more than 200 countries. That is actually useful for Malaysian travellers because Type G is what we use locally, while the other plug types cover plenty of common travel spots.

It has two USB-A ports and two USB-C ports, letting you connect up to five devices at once. Just take note: the power is shared at up to 15W total, so this is more for phones, earbuds, smartwatches, and overnight charging — not your gaming laptop, bro.

There is also a refurbished Amazon Smart Thermostat at US$32.99 via Woot until June 8, with a one-year warranty. It works with most 24-volt HVAC systems, supports Alexa, and can help track energy usage through an app. For Malaysia, this one is less straightforward because home cooling setups differ a lot, so compatibility matters before buying.

Lastly, the Victrola Stream Carbon turntable is down to US$799.99, or US$200 off, at Amazon and Victrola. It can stream directly to Sonos speakers and has a premium build, but this is clearly more for serious vinyl people than casual listeners.

For most egg.network readers, the Beats Solo 4 is the main deal here. If you want a stylish wireless headset that plays nicely with both iPhone and Android — and you can live without ANC — this is one to keep on your radar.
