Galaxy S26 Ultra Hits New Low on Amazon US, But Malaysia Buyers Should Think Twice

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra has just become a bit more tempting — at least if you’re shopping through Amazon US.

The flagship Android phone is now listed at US$999.99 for the base 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model, which is basically the clean US$1,000 price point. If you want more storage, the 12GB + 512GB version is going for US$1,200.

That is a decent drop compared to the pricing seen just a few days earlier. According to GSMArena, the same two variants were priced at US$1,100 and US$1,300 on Saturday, so this new Amazon US offer cuts US$100 off both storage options.

For Malaysians, that puts the cheaper model at roughly the RM4,700-ish range before you even start thinking about shipping, tax, import handling, credit card conversion, and all the usual “buying from overseas” headaches. So yes, the headline price looks spicy, but the final landed price may not feel as gila once everything stacks up.

All the non-exclusive colours are included

The Amazon US deal applies to the standard colour options available outside Samsung’s own store: Black, White, Cobalt Violet, and Sky Blue.

Samsung.com, meanwhile, is still listing the same storage tiers at US$1,100 and US$1,300 respectively. The reason some buyers may still care about Samsung’s own store is colour choice — Samsung keeps Silver Shadow and Pink Gold as exclusive options there.

But honestly, if colour is not a big deal for you, saving US$100 and throwing that money into a proper case or screen protector makes more sense. Ultra phones are huge investments, and nobody wants their RM-level flagship dream ending with one mamak table drop.

Should SEA buyers care?

Even though this is an Amazon US deal, it still matters for Malaysia and SEA buyers because US pricing often sets the mood for global flagship discounts. When Amazon starts pushing Samsung’s top-end phone lower, local retailers and marketplace sellers may eventually respond, especially once newer launches get closer.

That said, Malaysian buyers should not blindly import just because the US price looks cheaper. Warranty is the big one. A US unit may not get the same local support as a Malaysia set, and that matters a lot for a phone in this price class. You also need to check band compatibility, eSIM support, charger expectations, and whether the seller actually ships cleanly to Malaysia.

If you are the type who upgrades every year, buys from overseas regularly, and knows how to deal with warranty risk, this is worth tracking. If you prefer peace of mind, wait for local promos from Samsung Malaysia, telcos, or major retailers. Sometimes the official Malaysia bundle — trade-in, warranty, instalment plan, freebies — can be better value than a raw US discount.

Still a premium Android monster

The Galaxy S26 Ultra remains Samsung’s big-boy flagship, the kind of phone aimed at power users who want top cameras, high-end performance, stylus features, and a massive premium screen in one device. It is also the kind of device SEA mobile gamers will look at for heavy titles, streaming, content creation, and everyday flexing.

So the short version: Amazon US now has the S26 Ultra at its lowest reported price so far, but Malaysian buyers should treat it as a benchmark, not an instant buy button. Good deal? Yes. Auto-buy for Malaysia? Not without doing the maths first.
