Flagship phone prices are still gila expensive in 2026, but at least the discount season is starting to show some signs of life. GSMArena’s latest weekly deals roundup highlights price cuts across Apple, Google, Samsung, Xiaomi and Nothing devices in the UK — and while not every offer is mind-blowing, some of these drops are worth watching if you’re shopping from Malaysia or tracking what might happen in SEA retail soon.
The most interesting bit: Apple’s newer iPhone 17 models are already seeing small discounts. The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro currently have £30 knocked off, but only for the 256GB versions. That is not exactly a “drop everything and buy now” type of deal, but it is still notable because fresh iPhones usually hold their price quite stubbornly.
If you care more about value than owning the newest badge, the iPhone 16 looks like the better buy here. It is now listed with a £100 discount, which is much more meaningful. Even though it is one generation behind, the iPhone 16 still keeps a similar overall design language to the iPhone 17, runs on Apple’s A18 chip, and packs a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a dual rear camera system led by a 48MP main sensor.
For Malaysian buyers, this is the classic question: do you pay extra for the newest iPhone, or grab last year’s model once the price gap becomes big enough? If local retailers or telcos follow the same pattern, the iPhone 16 could become the smarter pick for users who just want a reliable daily phone for gaming, social content, banking apps and long-term iOS support.
Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series is also still on discount, though GSMArena notes the offers are weaker than last week’s. The regular Galaxy S26 gets a flat £100 cut at checkout, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra gets the same £100 checkout discount plus extra savings depending on storage. The Ultra remains the one power users will eye, especially if you want the biggest screen and flagship camera setup, but the smaller S26 could be the more practical choice if pricing becomes aggressive in SEA.
Google’s Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro Fold are where the discounts get much juicier, with savings going up to £450. Both phones use Google’s Tensor G5 chipset and come with triple rear cameras. For Malaysia, Pixel availability and warranty support have always been the thing to check carefully, but discounts like this matter because they can influence grey import pricing and cross-border sellers. If you are the type who wants Google’s camera processing and AI features, this is the lineup to monitor.
Xiaomi also appears in the roundup with deals on the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The standard Xiaomi 17 has a stronger discount than last week, while the Xiaomi 17 Ultra continues with a £100 cut. That Ultra model is especially relevant for SEA buyers because Xiaomi’s top-end phones often compete hard on camera hardware. If the local price lands right, it could be a serious alternative to Samsung’s Ultra line for photography-focused users.
Finally, the Nothing Phone (3) is discounted by up to £190 depending on storage. Since it is Nothing’s 2025 flagship and no new flagship is expected this year, it remains the brand’s highest-end phone for now. For fans who like Nothing’s cleaner design and more unique look, this could be the moment where the price starts making more sense.
Bottom line: these are UK deals, not Malaysian store promos, so don’t treat them as direct local pricing. But they are still useful signals. If flagship demand softens globally, SEA buyers may see better bundles, stronger Shopee/Lazada campaigns, or more attractive telco plans later. For now, the iPhone 16 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold look like the standout value angles.
