iQOO Z11 India launch tipped, and Malaysia already has the version to watch

The iQOO Z11 story is getting more interesting for our side of the region. After debuting first in China back in March, the phone later showed up in Malaysia with the same name but not exactly the same spec sheet. Now, according to a tipster on X, that Malaysian-style Z11 is reportedly the one heading to India next.

The expected launch window is next month, with June 15 being floated as the likely date or at least close to it. For Malaysia and SEA readers, this matters because India often gets aggressive mid-range phone pricing, and that can give us a good idea of how brands position devices across nearby markets.

If the tip is accurate, the Indian iQOO Z11 will use the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, matching the Malaysian model. It is also said to ship with Android 16 out of the box, running vivo’s OriginOS 6 on top. That is a pretty fresh software baseline for a mid-range device, especially if iQOO keeps updates moving properly.

The rumoured India price is under INR 30,000, which GSMArena lists as around US$313. Direct conversion puts that roughly around the RM1.4k to RM1.5k zone before any local pricing differences, tax, promos, or storage variant changes. In Malaysia, that is the exact kind of bracket where buyers start comparing hard: Poco, Redmi, realme, Nothing, Samsung A-series, and iQOO all fighting for the same wallet.

On paper, the Z11 sounds very gaming-friendly for the price segment. The phone carries a large 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1260 x 2800 resolution, a fast 144Hz refresh rate, and a claimed 5,000-nit peak brightness. That combination is basically aimed at people who watch anime, scroll TikTok, and grind Mobile Legends or Wuthering Waves on the same device.

Memory options are listed as 8GB or 12GB of RAM, paired with 256GB of storage. The camera setup is simpler but still practical: a 50MP main camera on the back and a 32MP selfie camera in front. So this is not trying to be a camera flagship, but it should cover everyday shooting, food pics, cosplay shots at events, and the usual group photos.

The real headline, though, is the battery. The Z11 packs a massive 9,020mAh cell, which is gila besar for a mainstream smartphone. Add 90W wired charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging, and you get a device that looks built for heavy users who hate carrying a power bank. For SEA users dealing with long commutes, campus days, conventions, and all-day gaming sessions, that battery size is genuinely relevant.

Of course, the India launch is still based on a tip for now, so treat the date and pricing as early information rather than official confirmation. But if iQOO does bring this exact package to India at that sub-INR 30,000 level, it strengthens the case that the Z11 is one of the more interesting mid-range gaming phones to watch in our region.

Malaysia already has a version of the Z11 in the conversation, so the India move is less about surprise and more about momentum. If pricing stays sharp, this could be another proper value option for gamers who want battery life first, display second, and enough Snapdragon power without jumping into flagship money.
