Oppo looks like it is aiming straight at Apple with its next flagship phone family, and honestly, that is exactly the kind of spicy Android-vs-iPhone fight we want to see.
According to information shared by a tipster on X, Oppo is currently testing the upcoming Find X10, Find X10 Pro, and Find X10 Pro Max together with the iPhone 17 Pro. The obvious read here is camera testing — because when a phone brand puts its unreleased flagship beside Apple’s latest Pro model, it is probably not checking WhatsApp performance, bro.
The leaked live shots reportedly show the Oppo devices mounted in a testing rig alongside the iPhone 17 Pro. The Oppo phones are hidden inside protective cases, likely to keep the final design under wraps, but some design clues still appear visible.
The most interesting bit: all the Oppo units seem to carry a rear look that is very iPhone-coded. We are talking about a two-section back panel and a large rectangular camera area stretching across the width of the phone. If accurate, Oppo may be moving away from its usual Find-series design language and leaning into a more Apple-like flagship silhouette.
That does not automatically mean “copy-paste iPhone”, to be fair. Brands often use heavy prototype cases, and leaked testing units can look awkward before launch. But if the final Find X10 series really goes with a wide rectangular camera island, expect plenty of comparison posts once the phones are official.
There is also one detail worth keeping in mind: GSMArena notes that it is not fully clear whether the images show three separate Oppo models or the same device repeated in different positions. One unit appears mounted higher than another, which makes the setup slightly hard to read. Still, the assumption for now is that the Find X10 family may share a common design direction across the standard, Pro, and Pro Max models.
For Malaysian and SEA users, this leak matters because Oppo is not some random China-only brand in our market. Oppo phones are everywhere here — from mall kiosks to telco bundles to Shopee and Lazada listings. The Find series sits at the premium end, and if Oppo is openly benchmarking against the iPhone 17 Pro, the camera fight could become very relevant for people who shoot a lot of concert clips, food shots, travel vlogs, and low-light mamak lepak photos.
Apple still has a strong reputation for reliable video and social media-ready output, especially among creators. Oppo, meanwhile, has been pushing hard on portrait photography, zoom performance, and image processing. If the Find X10 Pro or Pro Max can close the gap in video while keeping Oppo’s strong still-photo tuning, Android fans in Malaysia may have a serious flagship alternative to consider.
The big unknown, of course, is local availability and pricing.
