Samsung’s 85-inch The Frame Pro gets a huge one-day US price cut

Samsung’s art-TV lineup is built for people who want a massive screen without making the living room look like a mini cinema 24/7. The problem, of course, is that these lifestyle TVs are usually priced like premium furniture and premium tech at the same time.

For one day only, Samsung’s 85-inch The Frame Pro 4K AI Smart TV (2025) has dropped to US$2,799.99, which is US$1,500 off its usual price. Converted roughly, that is around RM13,000+ before taxes, shipping, and any import costs, so yes, still not cheap — but for an 85-inch premium art-style TV, this is a pretty serious cut.

The deal is part of Samsung’s short “20 Years on the 20th” promotion, tied to the company’s claim that it has been the world’s top TV brand for 20 years in a row. The timing matters: this specific flash sale price ends at 11:59 PM ET, so Malaysia and SEA buyers looking through US deal pages will need to factor in the time zone.

What makes The Frame Pro different from a normal big TV is the whole wall-art concept. Instead of sitting there as a giant black slab when idle, it can show artwork through Samsung’s Art Mode, helped by a matte anti-reflection display that makes it look less like a glossy screen. For Malaysian homes, especially condos and living rooms where one big screen dominates the whole wall, that design angle actually makes sense.

This Pro model also gets more serious display hardware. Samsung has fitted it with Neo QLED picture tech, Mini LED lighting, and a Wireless One Connect box, which helps reduce cable mess if you’re going for a clean wall-mounted setup. That last bit is underrated — nobody wants an expensive “gallery” TV with HDMI cables dangling like cybercafe wiring, bro.

For gamers, the most interesting spec is support for up to 144Hz, mainly useful if you’re connecting a capable gaming PC. Console players on PS5 or Xbox Series X will care more about strong 4K performance and high refresh support, but PC kaki with a proper GPU could actually take advantage of the higher ceiling. The TV also includes Samsung’s NQ4 AI Gen3 processor, Dolby Atmos support, plus AI features like Live Translate and voice enhancement.

There is also a smaller option in the same one-day promo. The 43-inch Samsung The Frame (2025) is going for US$649.99, around RM3,000+ before extra costs, with US$250 off for the day. After the flash sale, the saving reportedly drops to US$200. This one is a more basic QLED 4K model with a 60Hz panel, so it is less exciting for high-refresh gaming, but it still keeps the matte display and art-frame look.

For Malaysian readers, the big reminder is this: the source deal is a US Samsung sale. Before getting too excited, check whether Samsung Malaysia, Shopee, Lazada, Senheng, Harvey Norman, or local AV dealers are offering comparable pricing with proper local warranty. Importing a giant 85-inch TV can become painful fast once shipping, warranty risk, and possible damage are involved.

Still, as a signal of where premium lifestyle TVs are heading, this is interesting. The Frame Pro is not just “TV big, price big.” It is aimed at people who want one screen for Netflix, football nights, anime marathons, console gaming, and still want the living room to look clean when the TV is off.
