Woot’s Nintendo Switch Sale Hits Record-Low Prices, But Malaysia Buyers Should Check Fast

Amazon-owned deal site Woot has quietly rolled out a fresh batch of Nintendo Switch game discounts, and some of the prices are properly tempting if you’ve been waiting to fill out your physical library.

The headline deal is Pokémon Legends Z-A for US$44.99, down from US$59.99. GamesRadar notes this is the lowest price it has spotted so far for the Switch version. For Malaysian readers, that works out to roughly RM210 before any shipping, forwarding fees, or currency charges — so don’t just look at the US price and terus checkout without doing the maths.

There are a few other notable cuts too. Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is also listed at US$44.99, another record-low according to the source. Mario & Luigi: Brothership is going for US$39.99, while Dragon Quest VII Reimagined is listed at US$44.99.

Why this matters for Malaysia and SEA players

Nintendo game prices are famously stubborn. Unlike PC sales on Steam, where you can sometimes wait for a deep regional discount, first-party and major Switch titles tend to hold value for ages. Even older releases can still sit close to full price at local game shops, especially if the physical copy becomes harder to find.

That’s why these Woot prices are worth watching, even if you’re not buying directly from the US. They give Malaysian Switch owners a useful benchmark: if a local seller is asking full retail for an older title while US deal sites are already pushing it far lower, you know there may be room to wait, negotiate, or hunt around Shopee, Lazada, Carousell, and local game stores.

The catch is that Woot deals usually move fast, and this batch is only around for a limited time. GamesRadar says some of the discounts may last up to 11 more days, meaning these are not the kind of deals you bookmark and revisit next month. By then, stock or pricing could already be gone.

Best picks from the sale

If you’re a JRPG fan, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is probably the cleanest pickup here. It’s a massive RPG, it still looks great on Switch, and getting it below the usual Nintendo pricing wall is always nice.

For Pokémon fans, Pokémon Legends Z-A hitting US$44.99 is the one to watch. If you’re planning to play on Switch or build a physical collection before fully jumping into the Switch 2 era, this is the kind of discount that might not appear locally for a while.

Mario & Luigi: Brothership at US$39.99 is also interesting because it dips lower than the others. If you want something lighter, more colourful, and easier to jump into between bigger games, that price is pretty attractive.

Should Malaysians buy?

If you already have a reliable way to buy US deals, this sale is worth checking quickly. If not, treat it as a price signal rather than an automatic purchase. Once shipping and conversion are added, the savings may shrink.

Still, for Switch collectors and JRPG kaki in Malaysia, this is a reminder: don’t assume Nintendo games never drop. You just need to catch the right window.
