Xbox Game Pass is coming into May 2026 with a pretty heavy flex: Forza Horizon 6 and Subnautica 2 are both part of the first wave, and both are landing day one for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
For Malaysian and SEA players, this is exactly the kind of month where the subscription starts to make sense again. Instead of paying full price for one big release, Game Pass users are getting access to a major Xbox first-party racer and one of Steam’s most-wishlisted survival games in the same window. If your backlog already gila, sorry bro, it is about to get worse.
The headline additions are clearly Forza Horizon 6, arriving on May 19, and Subnautica 2 (Game Preview), arriving on May 14. Both will be available on Cloud, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
That PC Game Pass part matters locally. In Malaysia, not everyone is on Xbox console, but plenty of players are on gaming laptops, custom PCs, or cybercafe-style setups. Forza has always been an easy showcase game for hardware, while Subnautica 2 should hit nicely for players who like survival crafting, exploration, and that underwater anxiety vibe.
There are also several other games being added or reshuffled across tiers. Some titles that were previously tied to Ultimate are moving into Game Pass Premium, which gives more value to players who do not want the top-tier plan.

The smaller titles are not just filler either. Mixtape, from Beethoven and Dinosaur and Annapurna Interactive, is one to watch if you like stylish narrative adventures. Wildgate sounds chaotic in a good way, mixing ship combat with FPS action in a PvPvE setup. WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers and DOOM: The Dark Ages moving into Premium also makes that middle tier more tempting.
One thing for Malaysian readers: always check the local Xbox/Game Pass app before assuming every listed platform works the same here. Cloud availability can be region-dependent, so PC and console access are usually the safer bet.
As usual, some games are also leaving the service. The notable one mentioned is Planet of Lana, which exits on May 15, 2026, shortly after its sequel joined the library.
Overall, this is a strong month for Game Pass. Racing fans get Forza, survival fans get Subnautica 2, shooter fans get DOOM, and the indie crowd has a few interesting picks too. Not bad lah.
