PS Plus May 2026 Adds Star Wars Outlaws, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Time Crisis
PlayStation’s May 2026 PS Plus Extra and Premium lineup is looking pretty decent, especially if your backlog has somehow dodged both Star Wars Outlaws and Red Dead Redemption 2 until now.
Sony has revealed the latest batch coming to the PS Plus Game Catalog and Classics Catalog, with seven games joining the main library and one additional classic title for Premium subscribers. Everything in this month’s drop is scheduled to arrive on 19 May 2026.
The two biggest names here are obvious. Star Wars Outlaws gives subscribers a chance to jump into Ubisoft’s open-world Star Wars adventure without buying it outright, while Red Dead Redemption 2 remains one of the most respected open-world games ever made. If you’re a Malaysian PlayStation player who usually waits for discounts before committing to huge AAA games, this is the kind of month where PS Plus Extra can actually feel useful.
That said, there is one annoying part: Red Dead Redemption 2 has been in the PS Plus catalog before. It was removed, and now it is being brought back. Nobody is going to complain about more people getting access to Rockstar’s cowboy masterpiece, but the “remove then re-add” cycle does make the subscription feel a bit kurang syok. When you’re paying monthly or yearly, you want fresh value, not the same big titles rotating in and out like a pasar malam playlist.
Still, the rest of the lineup helps balance that out because the other games mentioned have not previously appeared in the catalog. The May additions include Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, Bramble: The Mountain King, The Thaumaturge, and Enotria: The Last Song. That is a nice spread for players who want something beyond the usual blockbuster open-world grind.
For SEA players, this kind of catalog update matters because game prices can hit hard, especially when new releases often sit at premium pricing on console storefronts. A subscription month with multiple full games gives players more room to experiment. Maybe you try Flintlock for its action-RPG combat, check out Bramble if you want something darker and more fairy-tale weird, or finally see whether Star Wars Outlaws is your kind of galaxy-hopping adventure.
Premium subscribers also get a retro bonus: the 1997 home version of Time Crisis is joining the Classics Catalog. That one is very specifically for the old-school crowd. If you grew up around arcade machines in malls, bowling centres, or random game corners in Malaysia, Time Crisis has that instant nostalgia pull. It is not the headline game for most subscribers, but for arcade kaki, it is a fun little throwback.
Overall, May 2026 looks stronger than a filler month. Star Wars Outlaws brings the newer AAA appeal, Red Dead Redemption 2 brings the “if you somehow missed it, play it now” factor, and the smaller titles add enough variety to make the lineup feel less lazy. The only real complaint is Sony leaning again on a previously removed game as one of the big selling points.
For Malaysian and SEA PlayStation players, the practical advice is simple: if you already have PS Plus Extra or Premium, May is worth clearing some storage for. If you are thinking of subscribing just for this drop, check your own backlog first — because RDR2 alone can eat your free time like gila.
