PS Plus May 2026 Adds Star Wars Outlaws, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Time Crisis
Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog additions for May 2026, and this month is looking pretty solid if you’re on the Extra or Premium tier.
The biggest new arrival is Star Wars Outlaws, Ubisoft’s open-world Star Wars adventure. For players who skipped it at launch, this is probably the cleanest way to try it without committing to a full purchase. The timing also makes sense: the game lands on PS Plus as Star Wars hype starts building again around The Mandalorian and Grogu, the next big-screen Star Wars release and the first new Star Wars movie since The Rise of Skywalker in 2019.
Also joining the catalog is Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar’s massive cowboy epic, complete with access to Red Dead Online. This one is technically a returning title, but come on lah — if you somehow still haven’t played it, this is one of those “clear your weekend” games. The timing is also funny because Rockstar fans are currently deep in GTA 6 speculation mode, so dropping RDR2 back into PS Plus is a clever way to keep that Rockstar energy alive.
For Malaysia and SEA players, this month’s catalog matters because these are the kind of games that make a subscription feel worth it. Big open-world games are expensive time investments, not just money investments. If you’re already paying for PS Plus Extra, getting both Star Wars Outlaws and Red Dead Redemption 2 in the same month gives you a lot of content to chew through before buying anything new.
The May lineup is not just open-world stuff either. Bramble: The Mountain King brings a darker fantasy adventure built around young hero Olle trying to save his sister from a troll. If you like fairy-tale horror vibes, this sounds like the “play at night with headphones” pick.
RPG fans also get The Thaumaturge, a character-focused role-playing game with turn-based combat, moral choices, and reality-bending powers. Meanwhile, Soulslike fans have two different flavours to check out: Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn from Ashen developer A44, and Enotria: The Last Song, which takes inspiration from Italian settings and folklore.
There’s also Broken Sword – Shadows of the Templar: Reforged, a refreshed version of the classic adventure game. Not every month needs to be about massive action blockbusters, and this one is a nice pull for players who enjoy slower mystery-solving and old-school point-and-click energy.
For PlayStation Premium subscribers, Sony is adding a retro bonus: Time Crisis, the PlayStation 1 version of the arcade lightgun classic. This version includes console-exclusive special stages, and Sony is also adding gyro aiming. That’s a neat touch, especially for older Malaysian gamers who remember lightgun arcade cabinets from malls and game shops back in the day.
Confirmed titles mentioned for May include:
- Star Wars Outlaws
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Bramble: The Mountain King
- The Thaumaturge
- Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn
- Broken Sword – Shadows of the Templar: Reforged
- Enotria: The Last Song Standard Edition
- Time Crisis for Premium subscribers
Overall, this is a strong month for PS Plus if you like big cinematic games, RPGs, and a bit of arcade nostalgia. Just remember to check your local PlayStation Store, because tier names and availability can vary by region.
